| Ian Watson kicked his 42nd drop-goal of his career tonight against Widnes. Anyone remember his drop goal for us against Sheffield in 1997 at The Willows?
I think we won 17-16.
I remember the ball seemed to go over in slow motion.

| Wasn't it Watto that tried to drop a goal in torrential rain, on a water-logged Willows pitch but found the ball just stuck to the ground when he tried to 'drop' it?
Had a great game tonight for the Leythers though, especially with the boot.

| Decent player Ian Watson in his short time at the Willows I think it's fair to say things did not always go his way both on and off the field.
Still going well and by the looks of things last night he still has a lot to offer the greatest game.

| They said last night that Leigh was his 8th club so I was trying to think of the other 7 and got as far as:
- Salford
- Swinton
- Rochdale
- Halifax
- Widnes
Any ideas?

I do remember that game.... mainly for the fact that we had absolutely no right to win it.

I'm thinking of Martin Crompton here, when we played Huddersfield — led by Malcolm Reilly — at home.

Yeah, thinking of it you're probably right.
Apologies to Watto for confusing with with the RL genius that is Martin Crompton.
