Made up with the Griffin signing. Been majorly impressed with him since his arrival.
He didn't even want to join the club when we enquired back in February, now he's signed a 3 and a half year deal. Impressive!

Naqama looks a real talent, dare I say it in the Jason Robinson mould.
Cuthbertson has always struck me as someone who'd be immense in Super League; his offloading has always been sublime but he now seems to have added a greater level of physicality to his game.
Costigan - if he's fit - could be an absolute lynchpin.

Cuthbertson would add some real muscle to the second row, carries like big Ray and is more mobile.
Newcastle fans are not overly pleased with Costigan's level of performance, apparently he's not SOO worthy anymore, so might be a gamble.
Naiqama looks a real gem, might be even quicker than Jodie Broughton. As good as Jodie is going forward, he's not great under the bomb and is often found wanting in defence. If we get drawn into a bidding war for Jodie, Naiqama might prove a better option. That said, Jodie's so often been exposed by poor centres it's unfair to judge him, when paired with Talau/Moon he always looked class. |
