| I appreciate what your saying and most fans are in the same boat, but this is Salford that your supporting not Wigan after all.
I think it's s bit of an over reaction to say the least, one competive game in with a completely new team against probably a top 4 grand final challenging side.
We brought super stars in it didn't work, we've got a steady squad now building for the future, this guy Sheens is no mug and won't want to end his career as a failure at Salford.

Where have I heard that before. Same old cliches, same old excuses.
How ridiculous Early Bath, it's you that needs to get a grip. The game on Thursday will be another walk over, absolutely at the end of my tether with it all and I know I am not the only one. I can see many fans turning their back on it after year upon year of misery and shambolic running of our club. I will not go on Thursday why should I? The fact our match day price is probably the highest in the league is also a disgrace, how they expect to attract anyone to a game is beyond me.
Might as well take the money you'll waste on getting in and the pish water they masquarade off as alcohol that you que up 20 minutes for and burn it, not throwing my money away any more unless improvements are made on and off the field.'"
Great post. From the heart...

| We've played Saints 41 times in SL, we've won 4. Last time in 2010.
Most of the losses have been 20 point + .
Can't understand the suicidal tendancies at the prospect of another reversal, which is odds on.
Just looking for improvement TBH.
The pre season bonhomie rudely interupted by The harsh awakening that the hard work is still to be done.
Hopefully the team , and the fans will both get a grip, expectation is a defeat, but no dummies being spat out.

| The only comparison is they have both achieved a lot in their respective careers before coming to their current clubs.
Difference is the expectation and pressure, LVG was expected to start winning the the premier league, whereas well everyone just expects Salford to lose.
LVG only had one way to go...down. Whereas Sheens has the chance to turn this club around over the next 3 years and go quietly about it.

I told you Salford would go ok this season.
Saints have been poor, but Hull were red hot last week, this is a decent Salford team.

| The first thing that came into my head this morning was 44 - 10 !I watched the game again and was surprised how much we were in control. As a Salford fan for more years than I care to remember, I actually spent too much of the game thinking "We can still lose this!" Only this morning did I realise we were never really threatened and how much we were on top.
The last time I felt this good about a game was probably twenty years ago when we beat Wigan in the Cup at the Willows. At Hull last week I thought we had tries in us, but thought our pack was too lightweight and that we would struggle a bit behind a beaten pack, but last night our forwards gave a very good account of themselves. Much will be said about a poor Saints performance but perhaps Saint Helens only managed to play as well as we let them.
Games often tend to produce a massive over-reaction, particularly on here. Last week we were the worst team in the League and this week we are going to be the best according to some. I know that form can vary, but as long as effort and commitment stays high, perhaps we now have a genuine team ethos for the first time in many a long year that can help us advance. Last night the product on the pitch was better than the sum total of the players. We didn't see contrived celebrations where everybody rushed over to celebrate, but saw players genuinely playing for each other. Better discipline and fewer mistakes helped too. All seventeen deserve high praise.
If we can build on this.............but hang on, this is Salford! I just hope I don't have to wait another twenty years.

| Last week was poor, last night was brilliant.
Think the obvious litmus test will be when we play Widnes, a team who are on the same sort of level as us and the type of team we should be beating if we are seriously going to be challenging for a top 8 spot.

| Was mightily impressed with the team work on show last night, when you think who is left to come back in and potentially be brought in (reports of Burgess coming) we have a decent squad, Johnson came in and made it tricky now to drop when Junior is 100%.
Thought O'Brien looked much better last night, still don't think he should be starting ahead of Evalds but then again Evalds got 2 well taken tries.
I saw enough from Liu to know that I'd take a player with his qualities over the occasion brilliance of Chase and then BMM he looks like a younger and less prone to brain farts Hock.
Was slightly surprised with the crowd, thought we'd see a good 1000 less than that being on Sky, it being Thursday and last weeks shambles.
The odd gripe, the beer was vile, how you can mess up something like John Smiths so monumentally is beyond me and something must be done about the buses, every man and his dog knows we will all file out 22:15 at the latest, First should put on a shuttle to Eccles, charge everyone £2, one stop in Eccles so everyone can then get a train/bus/tram onwards.
