Do you not see Evalds at a replacement halfback also? It could we where his future is long term. He can play wing and fullback but his favoured position is in the halves isn't it? He scored a bagful of tries for the academy playing stand-off.

I think if handled correctly and rotated in when required the future for Evalds is looking rosy. He's grasped his opportunity and been noticed. Having good utility value will do him no harm either. Would love to see Owen brought back and shown the same kind of opportunity.

I'm not sure that he's played half back before? Whenever I seen him play for the academy it was at full back. Looked comfortable on Sunday though.

Has anyone heard how young centre Jon Ford is developing? Looked a very good prospect to me playing for the academy a couple years back. Didn't he tour Australia with England?

Evalds played half back in his earlier academy days before being switched to full back. I always thought half back was his better position to be honest, although full back became his preferred position.

I know we are all looking forward to see him play but I'd give him 12 days to acclimatise and play him against Hull. I think he needs time to let his body clock adjust and to get to know the lads, to see how they train and how they play.
