Possibly so, but would the "director of all things rugby" not step in and point out that Luke is Salford's current longest serving player and a shining example of the academy and factually year in year out Salford's top tackler ?!
Top tackler in a team that factually has the ball less than any other team in play! whats the lad gonna do ?
And as Lien quite rightly points out doesn't that leave Salford with minimal "Salford Trained players" as required for The Super League Criteria?
I dont suppose that matters too much to the likes of SS, who seems happy to pad out the squad with oversea players... crocked oversea's players who don't as much play a single game. Christ had Bailey not held his hands up then we'd still be paying him! Makes you wonder exactly how much money is wasted at our beloved club.
BACK THE COACH - I here you cry..... well as long as SS is at the club, any coach of ours will simply be a puppet for SS dirty work. Full control of the squad... my hairy ring piece.
Besides I wouldn't be surprised if Adamson left of his own accord. All that hard work and for what? Scares me to wonder who might put those 850+ tackles in next year... Neale maybe :/
Myler! Turner! Ratchford! and now Adamson and Sidlow, All exciting academy players who were stifled by our coaching system. Players that would have been coached and nurtured properly anywere else. They know that and so do we. Cant blame the likes of Steph.. Dont think he woulda turned Cas - Hull or even Widness down given half the exciting chance.

Wow such innacuracy must be difficult to achieve, if you think that MP has given up a job coaching a SSO side to come to be Steve Simms lap dog you are nieve at best. Think Parish is enough of an Aussie to not let anyone pull strings on team matters except the chairman, I feel certain he was fully aware on the money restrictions when he came and in an odd way that makes the job more appealing.
MP does a good job over the 3 1/2 years of his contract and turns Salford into a winning team in super league with the constrictions he is working with he will pretty much be nailed on that a bigger SL team or maybe even an NRL team will want him.
Sorry for me this SS basahing has to stop, everyone from the chairman down says that SS does a vital job for the club so why do we the largely uninitiated fans seem to know that he is a waste of money?

| I surpose its because you can't manage how well as is doing at his job, coaches get sacked if they lose matches, players lose contracts and are released if they fail to perform, DoF in my eyes hunts for players that is available, gives the coach a list, he gets the coaches targets and then he negotiates the contracts and signs them. I surpose we will never know if we overpay for players or he is a wheeler dealer
Id also hope that one of ss roles is to take any stresses that arnt rugby related away allowing the player to concentrate 100% on his rugby a kind of Mr fix it role if this isn't the case it needs to be imo.
Adamson is a tackling machine but with the ball he does very little, he doesn 't burst the line he doesn't have much of an Offload, he is a blocker when all is said and done in attack he usually takes the 1st drive as a settler or dies with the ball when the ball lands in his hands
I blame mcrae for him not developing Adamson and the rest who have gone backwards unfortunately it may have cost us Alan huntes 1st golden generation but there will be another one soon.

Hang on firstly have I mentioned Adamson's attributes, nope didn't think so, as it happens I like Luke, yes he's stagnated but I'd blame a lack of proper coaching over the past few seasons, but what has yours or my opinion got to do with anything, if the coach doesn't fancy him (include Sidlow and Feka in that) then the coach doesn't fancy him. One minute you want Simms to keep his nose out the next you want him to interfere make your mind up.

Well starting with Spencer (If he's kept) Sneyd, T. Adamson, Clay, Owen, Davidson & Marriott, then throw in Evalds, Fagas, Tyson, Wiper and a couple of others who I believe are very close to joining the first team squad, then that should do the trick.

Hmm so you can't name me one good aussie we've signed in the past 10 years?

Have you met Parish, believe me he's certainly not going to take any crap, and that includes the Chairman.

What confuses me is the knee jerk reaction of Swinton Fans to get a dig into our ribs as if their success on it's own isn't enough , which I think is sad.
However in the spirit I will point out that after years in the wilderness they finally hit on a recipe for success,
Salford Ground , Salfords Ex Coach , Salford's ex halfback playmaker & half a dozen ex Salford players/ academy
They finally hit back'"
Interested to know the half dozen ex salford players to which you refer and that's much better getting into the spirit.

I hope not, the ranting of Swinton fan number one on here have created a hate for Swinton I've never felt before. Pretty much the same as I chuckled when I read about Leighs financial troubles based purely on Starbugs annoying interjections on the Stadium thread.

In answer to your question, yes we will be allowed up as by then a Stadium will be in situ at agecroft, failing that and acording to the powers that be we have twoother sites in the offing, I wouldn't be surprised if one was the community stadium at Barton or indeed opening the season at the Willows.
The later makes sense as we are now entering the twilight of summer and decent weather will be a premium, Salford will no doubt want to ensure they also have a plan B available incase there any hiccups at Barton.
