| I think what everybody is forgetting here is what Marc Sneyd wants to do!!
It's a simple solution for me if he's happy to go back to Salford that's fine, if he wants to be released from his deal with Salford he needs to sit down with his agent and marwan and thrash out a way of moving on either in the form of a transfer or just been released from his contract.
Marwan has to learn that players come and players go for every player he brings in another's nose will be put out of joint. Players arnt horses they have to be treat with respect and there welfare is paramount.

Not really. He will be free to go at the end of 2015 - up to him then.
Until then its irrelevant what Marc wants to do.
Now if you guys rate him as much as Rangi then no doubt a fair cheque from the Tigers would be £120k ish?
That could tempt Marwan maybe o/wise you have at least 18 months to wait.

Do you really want players at Salford that don't want to be there or players that are there to make a quick buck. You can't just keep throwing money at things and hope it works out.
Passion, desire and commitment cannot be bought.plenty of players are released from there contracts every year if it's in everyone's best interest. Only last week Richard Owen was released without a fee been payed.

The difference [i being[/i you didn't want him. It's not in our best interests to release Sneyd, that's for sure.
Castleford fans can post to their hearts' content about Sneyd supposedly desperately wanting to leave Salford for Castleford and us releasing him for nothing - it still isn't going to happen.

| If (and I still tend to believe the lad who's his friend in real life when he says he doesn't) Mark does want to leave then it would be financially stupid of Salford not too look for a sizable fee for one of the best young British half backs currently in the game. If he wants too stay at Castleford and we are as reported after any of their players and said players are under contract the best option might be a player swap, the problem for Cas being that I'd rate only Carney and Clarke as worth being a like for like exchange.

| I don't for one minute he'll be released on a free, Marwan wont allow that after paying for Chase.
The thing Rob says is right. If Marc really did want to leave (I appreciate that's all hearsay and a poster on here close to him claims that not to be true) he will so everything possible to negotiate a release and at that point. Common sense should prevail, a fee agreed and him sent on his way. I appreciate money isn't the issue hear, but you'll never win anything while players are only there for money or under sufferance. Their heart has to be in it. Maybe Marc's is. And if so we'll thank him for this year and admire him from afar.

| I’ve lost count how many times Marwan Koukash has said Marc Sneyd will be a Salford player next season. We’ve even had a close friend on here telling us he wants to stay at Salford. I don’t blame all the Cas fans for clutching at straws, he’s been fantastic for them this season and he’ll be another major loss along with Clarke, Hauraki and maybe even Huby.
I found it funny how they’re taking he moral high ground over this one though and claiming Salford rubbished Sneyd in the first instance by sending him on loan. Remember the Cas fans reactions to signing Sneyd? I recall reading many less than complimentary comments.
Its fair to say the kid has proved everyone wrong and the only real person with egg on their face in all of this is Brian Noble.

You're presuming a lot here.
You're presuming the player wants to stay. You do not know that.
You're presuming that he would be unhappy to come back. You do not know that.
You claim that throwing money at things wont make them better. That's what you're Club will need to do to secure said player.
Passion, desire, and commitment cannot be bought. You will have to buy it to retain said player.
Players are released from their contracts if it's in everyone's interest. It wouldn't be in Salford's interest though would it?
The only thing you can really say with confidence is this -
'I really hope that my Club pull out all the stops to sign said Player, as he's been great for us so far.'
Everything else you're saying isn't worth the effort to type.

Perhaps Marwan should name his next horse "Sneyd's Going Nowhere".

| This is getting like the Chase situation last year will he won't he stay/go arguments.
It can be ended in the same way that was if the player wants to leave, like Chase last year, then he needs to ask for a transfer until that happens it's no change to the loan deal ie Sneyd returns to us.
One last thought if Cas fans keep talking Sneyd up like some are then they will not be in a position to complain if he does ask to leave and the fee becomes out of there reach and the player ends up playing for another club.
For me any transfer fee would have to start somewhere between the Smith and Chase fee and I think Cas would find it difficult to find that sort of money without putting themselves back to where they were when they had to sell Chase.

Its all rumours and nobody will know anything until its announced. I also remember lots of rumours started by Salford supporters that Sneyd did not want to come to Cas also you wanted Smith/Fages so I am not sure this rewriting of history does you any favours. At the same time lots of Cas fans did not want Sneyd either so we are probably equal on that one.
Just let me say selling RC to you was the best thing my club has ever done and we have reaped the benefits this season. Sneyd has been good for us and has prospered in our system I am not so sure he will in yours but he is not our player and I am sure we are planning accordingly.

| What's stoping one of the big boys coming in for him, offering SRD a sizeable fee,and Syned very good wage. More than he earns now, whatever that may be. Syned gets his head turned by the offer and wants to go,what would Dr Koucash do then. It happened with Myler & Ratchford.

Offer him more. We never had a MK when Myler and Ratchford left.
