He did instil some good attacking rugby, give someone better players to work with you never know. Even if it was on a rolling monthly contract until he is picked up elsewhere nothing to lose.

| I'll give it about 2 weeks before Dr Mar publicly berates the entire Salford squad on Twitter and demoralizes the entire squad

| Quote: Early Bath "Dearie Me Redwolf & Flat Stanley. Get a grip.
80 minutes into the season and its the same old griping.
Tim has built a team for modern Summer Rugby League and O`Brien is important for him as an extra pivot to get the ball wider to the centres and wingers where we have an abundance of talent.
Feb & March will not be our best months on Heavy grounds but when firmer you will see the difference.
I dont go with this `need 2 big props` if we are trying to play a completely different style.
I would agree if we were going 5 drives and a kick.
So cut Tim & Ian a bit of slack - give it time before moaning but sadly that`s a hope too far with some of our fans who know more about Rugby League than a top NRL player & then coach of the best team in the World.'"
This reminds me of Karl Harrison in 2007 saying the team would come good on the hard tracks. We came good that year, didn't we.........

I think it would be more valid to praise or criticize after half a dozen games. We've got a tough start there's no denying, but SL finishing spots are dictated at the end of the season, not after one game.'"
You are right but I can understand the negativity. It's TEN years since the last season I genuinely enjoyed watching the club. 2006, on the pitch was awesome and the atmosphere at the Willows was so positive. Since then we've had so much dross. Let's go into Thursdays game with optimism but it has a feeling of deja vu.

Sheens isn't going to ruin his illustrious career through Salford, whilst i'm sure he's pulling the strings Watson is just his fall guy for when things go pete tong.
Lets see what happens on thursday as Saints have a big game the week after they should be easy pickings for us .

| Massive over-reactions on here I think. You played probably the biggest pack in SL and they got a roll on and scored on the back of it. Luckily for us, we are able to be clinical compared to last season where we couldn't get over the line. Think you will go ok to be honest

| Early Bath would have found a positive as the Titanic went down.No one was expecting to win at Hull, but we did expect a performance, not the game to be over at half time. How long before Koucash is mouthing off again, surprised he as not done so already.

| Massive over reaction in the stands on Friday night and no surprise to read similar on here. I think most people knew Hull were going to come out all guns blazing and the key for us was to withstand that and go in at half-time within touching distance. Unforced errors and needless penalties gave Hull far too much of the ball in our half and with the quality they have this year they're going to make most teams pay for that. I thought Danny Houghton was outstanding for them, what I would give to see him in our team.
Without a doubt Watson got his team selection wrong, O'Brien shouldn't have started infront of Evalds and how was Joseph selected despite playing zero minutes of pre-season? Lannon should have been in there, as should A.Walne going off what we saw vs Rochdale and Wigan.
At the end of the day, Hull beat us 8 tries to 4 which when you consider the amount of possession we gifted them isn't surprising. I'm more than confident we'll bounce back on Thursday.
PS - Hull were clinical and look to have a genuine top 4 team this season. Exciting times for them.

Maybe your right who knows and good luck to them, but the bookies still have them as a middle of the road outfit and they are rarely wrong, lets have it right the ball game was over at 42-6 and I just wonder if they might just have taken their foot off the gas with a difficult trip to France next weekend ?

[iWell i observe judge and analyse with my own mince pies unlike you. You obviously don't trust your own judgement so you swallow whatever the club bellows. You're a Typical club apologist who can't think for yourself Sheens says this Sheens said that. Trust in Tim. Don't get me wrong i like Tim Sheens and respect his knowledge of the game but nothing has changed. Where was this so called close nit desire what we've been promised this year on Friday night.Where was the HEART what was promised. Well they're not getting mine until they show some mettle. Yeah it might take time for the team to Gel but Team Spirit if there is any doesn't take long with the right personnel it's instantaneous so is giving your HEART. Don't forget EB we've been down this road give or take for four decades now. Its the same shiote different day. We need not hope for a decent performance on Thursday night we can't afford the usual hammering by Saints. Then we can say we're a different animal this year I'm certainly not counting my chickens.[/i.

| For whatever my opinion is worth I dont think you should get too upset just yet. We all said that you would struggle to handle our size, what I didnt expect was the performances of Green and Bowden. We came out all guns blazing but you hung on well for 20 minutes. Then we brought those two and Pritchard on at a time when you were taking your starters off and we just overwhelmed you with one of the more clinical 30 minutes of rugby you will see this season. It's easy for you guys to blame lack of effort or togetherness, but when you opponents are so much bigger than you and have the bit between their teeth its very hard to do anything about it. It would have been easy for your boys to roll over and end up with a 60 point drubbing, but you rolled your sleeves up and played some good stuff at the end. We might not be getting the recognition yet, but Imo we are a top 4 team this year and not many teams will turn us over at home.
Get Evalds back at FB, improve your ball retention and play to your strengths (ie, get it wide quickly and often) and I think you will do okay this year. I've tipped you by 2 against Saints anyway.
