| I thought Hansen was our best player yesterday! Reason we lost the game was 1. Stupid penalties 2. Cant defend outwide 3. lack of composure in possession of the ball when basics are needed at times!

| HH put in a few early hits yesterday that reminded be of SBW in the Bulldogs days.
Think we need to run him wider as he does seem to go down the middle of the park more than Hock who goes after the fringe plays.

| Good to see Eden, our spy in your camp is making sure you continue to lose games. Shocking in defence, but no surprise there. You can keep him.
I give Iestyn one more game then Koukash will get rid.

| I thought you were desperately unlucky yesterday,Roby had a big part to play in the result ,very poor performance from him. As someone said i thought your forwards were great ,although Hock still continues to be a liability as does Rangi Chase, a little bit more structure and cool headedness (is that a real word?) and the game was yours.

| I'd desperately like to see us look down under for an old head type scrum half for next year. Next season will also be one of transition as there is a good chance that we will start the first game with quite a few new players again and having someone to guide them round the park will definitely be needed (as it has been this season). Only looking for someone for one season to help knit everyone together until they become a team.

You're assuming we wouldn't have scored another point for the rest of the game had the try been disallowed.

| I thought Widnes coped well with their injuries yesterday. They've played well all year and I don't begrudge them the win.
But I've just watched the Tasi incident again. Tasi has hold of the ball until Leuluai's head bangs into his. The ball only falls from his hand when he is falling to the floor dazed or unconscious. How can this be play on?

There's no stop in play. Had hanbury been tackled, the play would of been stopped for them to receive treatment, or if Tasi had completed the tackle before releasing, it would of been halted. But the referee cannot stop play halfway through a phase. Once the ball is dead, it's the refs responsibility to stop play immediately.

Wand and Betts have been at their clubs for years;not 5 minutes.
Harris has been left with the remnants of the Noble era and has the task of sorting the wheat from the chaff.
Not an easy job,but one he should be supported in doing.
We should not forget the injuries we have sustained, and no coach can implant pace into a player.
He also has to view the players in action and assess. All a slow process.
If Noble was allowed a full 12 months, and he was, then Harris should be given an equal amount of time.
If Betts was coach the referee may stop play immediately a player sustains a head injury, courtesy of a high knee(?)
as shown yesterday to the benefit of one side and one player, who wasn't wearing a red shirt.
We're only half way through the season and it does seem advantageous to go into a play-off system
with momentum and on the ascendancy. All is not lost - it is only May.

| I'm not too sure about these signs of improvement people seem desperate to cling onto. Yesterday was basically a carbon copy of the Widnes away game in the league. In with a shout for pretty much all the game, but without the composure in attack or defensive structure to get the result.
When you consider Noble had to do without both Hock and Chase in the early part of the season, you could say being 8th and still in the cup was a reasonable achievement. Since then we have won 1 from 7 yet are supposedly improving?
Looking at the fixture list, we could be in a worrying position before our last 4 games. Not many are looking winnable at the moment. Hopefully we can turn over one of the big name clubs inbetween to get the season back on track.

But surely play should have been stopped. You are not allowed to stop someone by making contact with their head, accidentally or otherwise. Tasi did nothing wrong and did not drop the ball until he was rendered unconscious.
The tackler has responsibility to position himself to make a safe tackle. Leuleuai initiated the contact that led to the head clash. I would have thought a penalty would be a minimum outcome. Otherwise we have a very dangerous game.
When compared to other penalties given, it seems baffling.
As I said before, well done to Widnes on a very good win.

| How about the Salford players played to the whistle like Widnes did, or is that too much to ask from our 'superstars'? At least 5 Reds stood still and allowed Hanbury to pick the ball up. No excuses for that.

Head clashes aren't penalties, there was nothing wrong with the tackle. He dropped the ball, hanbury picked it up and ran the length of the field. The fact a player is unconscious only matters after a tackle is complete (the ball is dead) or if aiding the player impacts on play. Neither did, and what occurred was the correct decision.
Regardless, you play to the whistle, and Salford didn't.
