Free parking around the ground will be very limited. If it's running, your best bet may be to park on the Trafford Centre and use the £1 bus to the ground. Of course, someone with more local knowledge may have a better idea of on-street parking, but it doesn't look like there's many options.

As for how much it'll be to get in, you guess is as good as ours unfortunately. It's £12 tomorrow against Leigh and £15 against Wigan.

I heard Halifax were putting a second team out so you lot got a competitve close game.

Any idea if the Park & Ride will be running? Have tried to find out and emailed club via website on Monday but no answer. Also have spoken to somebody in shop this morning who was going to return my call but still awaiting a response.

It was running for the Leigh game, so I would assume it's the same on Sunday. Then again, this is Salford, so who knows.

Nearest Holts House is the Grapes in Peel Green. Street parking down the side road is an option and its about a 15 min walk to the ground. Other wise there will be the car parks

On the subject of ale, shame we dont have a regular visit to Halifax anymore. Wspoons now open in Todmorden, The Works in Sowerby Bridge and The Pump Room and Three Pigeons in Halifax

Can anyone see any positives in this potential "Customers" experiences. ?

i think its probably been talked about abit too much, and making it sound potentially worse than it is likely to be.

i am coming on the supporters coach, so will have hopefully no problems with parking, then i hope to join a small que for a ticket (as the coach should get us to barton before 2pm)...

....if we experience any major problems getting tickets for a friendly, arriving more than an hour before ko i will be amazed, and you guys need to be seriuosly worried about organisation in the coming season.

but like i say, i expect a smooth ride on sunday. just hope its a good game with no injuries.

We took 2 coaches on saturday and they parked behind the team coach in one of the 8 coach drop of areas , so no issues there, we arrived about an hour before kick off and there were no queues at the ticket office

I have pre-booked a parking space. As I see it this will be my last visit to this new stadium this year (unless challenge cup presents another go). There are two of us in the car £1. each, each way comes to £4.00, then there is the inconvenience of getting the shuttle bus, so for the extra quid (plus booking fee) I can park at the ground.

But thats just me.

I managed to get the shuttle bus from The Willows for the Leigh game, I went early as I wasn't sure what time the buses left. Got there at 12.35 but the coach didn't leave until 1.05, the jouney up to Patricroft was fine but then it crawled until it reached the Motorway roundabout as it was impossible to get onto the roundabout for the traffic coming off it. Consequently we arrived at the ground at 1.55 good job I already had a ticket...
The coach that left after ours arrived at the same time as it came on the motorway. There were quite a few people even coming in cars or public transport who didn't get in until after the KO so basically it was just the volume of traffic coverging at the one point so I don't know how this will pan out when the season starts proper as most of the teams will be coming from the right hand side of the ground ie: Wigan, Saints & all Yorkshire teams but I don't know how it will be resolved
I will still of course use the shuttle bus for future & was informed when I went to pick up my ticket for the Halifax game that if you hold a Manchester bus pass you don't have to pay the £1 fare.

Looking forward to all the people on here who claim they would turn up in their droves for Sunday rugby boosting the crowd for the Halifax game.

Im looking forward to people turning up who decided to go to watch an FC game when Salford played against Leigh.
