| Listen all this about Feka, I fully understand but it's not totally his fault a lot of it is how we use him. When he was at Wigan he had Fielden and Coley playing almost 80 minutes every game, Feka was used not as a 20 minute spell prop like we want to but maybe just 5 - 10 minutes when Wigan were on top, the coach would judge the game and throw him on at the right times (roll on roll off substitutes will let you do that) . Now I'm sure we've all seen this and maybe commented that Feka is only ever on the park when we're under the cosh. On Friday we started like a house on fire and had plenty of pressure on them but Feka was sat on the bench, after the Cashmere v Webb incident which for a few of us changed the tide of the first half, Leeds started to put us under the pump and what did we do put Feka on, wrong time, wrong place.
I accept that Feka is far from perfect but I believe if used correctly he could be a decent addition to us, if we want to use him like Jewitt, Boyle, Neal or Parker (I'll leave Cashmere outta this!) then we've signed the wrong type of player, not his fault, the clubs!

I agree to a certain extent with what your saying, it was the clubs fault in the fact that we should never of got him hes not the type of player we needed, we need a player with more game time at the end of the day we are Salford were going to be under the cosh for a lot of games this season. Its hard to know when to bring fekka into the game we could bring him on when we are attacking and the next minute were on the back foot defending that's just Salford and why we should never have signed him a luxury player we cant afford to have.
At the end of the day he is still a professional rugby player and needs to learn how to defend some of the tackles he has missed this season are beyond a joke even when hes had the ball going forward hes not made any yardage weather that's to do with the way he receives the ball or not i don't know but id still expect a 20 stone brick house to make a few more meters going forward!

| Quote Red John="Red John"I'm not offended. I entirely agree. I've said it before, but this board is getting more and more like the Jeremy Kyle show. It reached it's zenith with Sluggate, when (supposedly) fully grown adults saw fit to spray puerile insults around. Very embarrassing for all involved, in my opinion.
In addition to socal constructionism, etc., motivated reasoning is something else people could check out on t'interweb.'"
They certainly should look at "motivated reasoning."
It certainly is becoming more like the JK show. But perhaps this is wider problem. If I had the ability of Charlie Brooker to critically analyse TV and the the wider effects of TV I'd go on another tangent. But, as a mere simpleton, relatively speaking, I shall comment that the media does appear to have a massive influence on people. Talksport, the tabloid newspapers, Sky tv, ITV and the like have a lot to answer for.
All full of conjecture, childishness, poorly considered reasoning and dispositional attribution... Somewhat like the shed!

| I think we're going to get battered, we're looking very, very light in the pack and as for our bench, ouch!
Cashmere (Prop) – Banned
Spencer (Prop / Second Row) – Banned
Jewitt (Prop) – Injured
Palea'aesina (Prop) – Injured
Anderson (Second Row) – Injured
Bailey (Second Row) – Injured
So we'll look something like;
Patten
Broughton
Henry
Gleeson
Gibson
Ratchford
Holdsworth
Neal
Godwin
Boyle
L. Adamson
Nero
Wild
Subs:
Smith
Sidlow
Then two from:
Sneyd
T. Adamson
Clay
Owen

| Quote TheButcher="TheButcher"Spot on post RP.
It is indeed a sad indictment on Society these days, that everyone demands things immediately, feels the need to blame, and are suddenly experts on everything because they have the internet. We support Salford because we foolishly tied our colours to the red mast and it should be our duty to ride out the storms that she goes through. It's all about the journey, and hopefully we will eventually see the shore before we feel the need to pass the red torch on to the next generation.
Let's not forget that it is just sport and entertainment for us. An often cruel and depressing entertainment at times, but the highs feel so much higher for that. We should enjoy the gamble we place every time we pay to watch the Reds. Passion can work positively or negatively and it's up to us to change that.
*Rousing orchestral score fades*
I thank you.

Precisely how I see it.

| Quote Fungus The Muffin Man="Fungus The Muffin Man"I don't know I think there is still some good bouts of humour despite the surrounding misery.
We should bring back the confetti and bog rolls. I used to love aiming them at evil solly's head when we threw them lol.
I think one problem is that the shed is divided into to many fractions. Theres the young and restless who stand behind me. The nobbers below you lot. Then the turkey lot and then the other turkey lot outside the shed. I notice it more now since standing away from the turkey lot. I know that the nobbers and the young and restless tend to be the more abusive/ singsongs aimed at the opposition. However on many occasions if they start a Salford chant the turkey lot will start a different chant instead of joining in. It almost smacks of an elitism within the shed. There's no cohesiveness.=#FF0000 Perhaps alot of this has to do with the oncoming of age and how you interpret things that you never really looked at that deeply before. Maybe the shed has always been the same, it just changes in your opinion, when really it's you changing.'"
Whilst I have mixed feelings on the comments regarding elitism within the shed, I accept that it is possible that it may never have changed and that my perspective has. Hard to say really.
Apologies for the multi-posts peeps. I was intending on answering all points in the same post but the limited capability of the forum doesn't want to let me. (Or maybe I'm being thick!)
