It would be a very welcome announcement if Whitehead agrees to sign. I know a few supporters who have been getting a little frustrated after so much media speculation linking us with so many players. Some fans I know can't accept having to wait until August before the club reveal who is coming in. They have interpreted this as a potential problem suggesting other clubs are making announcements so why can't we.

Hopefully if this happens it may quieten or appease some of the doubters.

I do love the ridiculous logic from people criticising him for having no ambition if he comes to us. We have to actually sign decent players to attempt to become a top side.

I may possibly be wrong but I think the delay may be for the announcement of the gentleman to take over the running of the business side.I don't think it possible to just abandon mult-million pounds projects;there needs to be a timescale for succession planning/show someone the ropes.
I am quite surprised the Bradford press have suggested Carvell has signed for them when he will be playing for Warrington in the play-offs and possibly in the latter stages of the Challenge Cup.But it may be that they no longer have a fixture against Bradford - I ain't looked.
I actually think the RFL should look at the naming of players being transferred because it does seem a bit messy,notwithstanding the players are professional and will *continue to give their best for the club they are leaving.*

Hopefully this deal will be concluded pretty quickly. If the Bulls have managed to attract an offer around their 100k asking price then I am quite content to see him leave. Nowhere near 'one of the best 2nd rowers in SL' but if he is willing to knuckle down and work hard then he has the potential to be an England player one day. Great offensively and with good speed, defensively he is weak.

If Koukash is willing to pay the transfer fee and deals professionally then I have few complaints.
