| big claps for KOTS, but as I remember the great times the 70's and two league wins plus the Floodlight cup and the Lancashire cup plus who can ever forget Feb 11 1996, tears are back already. I don't won't these memories soiled by what is not happening in the coaching department, i bet Gus is spinnning in his grave watching his great club unravel like a cheap trick in a seedy club, I won't great memories of our last year at the place, I won't to see the new Watkins, Charlton, Hesketh, Dixon, Gill etal running out and being cheered to the rafters by us and many more returning to their old stomping ground. How many met their true love there, not by the factory wall but in the shed or behind the sticks? I won't these people to not only recall the great days but this year relive them and hopefully the team replicate this passion out on the field and go out and give their all, I know I will despite whats happening off the field, only 13 to go after many hundreds in the past.
COME ON SALFORD.

| Manchester City's marketing team came up with an idea about asking supporters to write about their first experience of watching City at Maine Road. Perhaps our club could do something similar by asking fans to write about their passion for the club and the hurt we feel when the team don't perform. These could then be framed and put up on the walls of Salford's training facility for all the players to read. It could prove to be very motivational, especially for the new players!

| Quote ="king of the shed"We all know what happened last weekend (figuratively speaking) and the horror that unfolded, yes it was painful and I, like everyone else am still fuming about it, I feel, as many do that our Head Coach has now overstayed his welcome however tomorrow night is the beginning of the end (if it's not already happened
) It the first game in our final season at the Willows and before the season kicked off I'm sure we all were looking forward to seeing the old girl off in style, and why shouldn't we?
Let's get behind the team from the off and if it does go Pete Tong then fine, spleen ventage is going to ensue but let's remember it's not the Old Girls fault and for the past 110-ish years she's looked after us pretty damn well, so let's start as we mean to go on this season make as much noise as we can, let's bring back the good old days and the fun factor to standing and watching the boys, supporting our lot is a rollercoaster, and at times, like last weekend, quite a miserable and embarrassing affair but it should never be a chore to support the Reds, we go to enjoy a break from real life, there's enough pain in that, so enjoy yourself, let your hair and guard down and go f'kin mental if you like.
Passion for the club is whats brought most us together and I personally take pride in watching Salford and being Salfordian, and I'm pretty damn sure most of you lot are as well. I'm not asking anyone to forget of fogive what we've seen but just because [isome[/i people may be letting the club, players, fans and most of all this year The Willows down, doesn't mean that we, the fans have to!
Rant Over, bring on Friday.

| I hope the Shed returns to the atmosphere it once had for every game this season, from start to finish of every match - we should all feel it as our responsibility to do justice to the thousands of Salfordians, past and present, who have cheered on our great Club over the years.
What I would like, if anybody here has contacts with the club, is if we could ask if the music could be turned off or turned down pre-match so that we can fully belt out BRING ON THE SALFORD without being drowned out by the music. A return of the Viking horn song would be nice as well - I can't remember hearing this for a while but I may be wrong?
For those amongst us who prefer not to be so vocal get a scarf twirling above your head!
If things get utterly dire I think a burst of F.u.c.k off McRae (Auld Lang Syne style) to air our frustration throughout half time would do us well before going back to the Pro-Salford songs only for the second half.
I am really excited for the match tomorrow after reading this thread, the type of excitement I had pre-friendlies, and have already forgotten about Cardiff. I am not confident at all about winning the match, but the potential return of atmosphere to the Willows will have me humming Salford songs all through work tomorrow and kick-off can't come quick enough, and you never know such atmosphere may rally the boys onto a win!

I think thats the biggy we as salford fans pride ourselves as being the best at generating an atmosphere and being "barmy" but without a drum, lets not try and get bogged down asking for mcraes head, the countdown has begun for the willows and the shed close its doors lets try and give it a good send of regadless what mcrae can do to soil it.
Its in our hands we can only moan about the lack of atmosphere at a game in the shed if we have given it a go trying to get one going

| I really hope tonight sees the 'rebirth' of The Shed. I've got 20 years of (mainly depressing!) shed dwelling under my belt and it's given me some of the greatest days of my life. I'm lucky enough to have been brought up on the Stretford End of the 80's & The Shed of the 90's and those places seem oh so long ago. When we move to Barton we'll more than likely attract the new breed of fan which wears jester hats, bangs drums and bounces along to Chelsea Dagger. We, the (slightly mental) fans need to take our passion, our voices, our love for this proud club with us. I'm dreading our last game here & I'm not ashamed to say I'll be shedding bucket loads! This season could be another false dawn, it could be the start of something special but whatever happens we need to give the old place the send off it deserves.
RED ARMY!!!
Ps. Any chance we can get a sign for visiting fans at Barton saying"Bring your voices, bring your passion, bring your souls...... Leave your fecking drum at home"

| Anyone know what's open in the club beer wise? I heard a rumour the Tav was gonna be reopened this year, any truth in it? I'm picking my ST up after work & thought I may as well hang around & watch the U20's but need to know I can get a pint while watching!
