| So in the last few weeks against us, Warrington, Castleford and now Huddersfield have all played poorly? Nothing to do with Salford playing well at all.
Superb performance today, not many teams have gone their in recent times and won so emphatically (score board doesn't do the performance justice). Fantastic debut from both Kevin Locke and Mason Caton-Brown, but that result has been coming for some weeks all without Hock and Hansen too. Huge credit to Harris, he's had his doubter on here but the improvement in recent weeks has been visible.
Huge game against Hull on Saturday, the old Salford would get battered lets see if we really have turned a corner and got ourselves back into the play-off race.

| I wasn't there today.
Did the underrated,under-valued,unappreciated Tommy Lee last the full 80 minutes as hooker in a dominant pack and in a winning team which as down to 12 men for the last 32 minutes of the game?

| I don't think we should get over excited at the prospect of play-off RL. I don't think we'll attain it this year, but it's still important for the team to keep putting the effort in. The effort has been getting better and better since Harris took charge and you can see the team are giving it their all and it finally paid off for us today in a great performance. Will be interesting to see how they back this performance up next week. They simply have to duplicate this weeks effort and keep improving.
Having someone like Locke stood behind you guiding you around can only be a massive boost, and teams will be very wary of his ability in open play. We've also gone from a severe lack of pace in the back line, to having some serious speedsters. Broken play and defensive busts will result in a much higher ratio of busts to tries scored and it also means that we should be able to cover defensive errors much better than in the first half of the season.
Next week is a real big test for this team. Consistency is what sets apart the good teams from the great teams, and is something we've always struggled with mentally. I'm hoping Harris's eye for the little details mean that we retain focus completely.

| Quote: theredshed "A team are only as good as they are allowed to play by the opposition. It's no coincidence we kept Cas pretty quiet last week despite their very late winner. It seems all the extra defensive work in training it now starting to show on the field.
To concede only 24 points combined away to Cas and the Giants is a massive improvement considering we were shipping 30 points in almost every game.'"

| Quote: Zimmerman "Just as a matter of interest did Neil Evalds get a game. I was quite impressed with him last week, he looked very safe and composed under the high balls and seemed to have genuine pace and an attacking threat. Have only seen him about two and a half games. I know you can't go on such a small amount of viewing time, but in that small time, he has looked quite good. Not seen him really tested in defence though, so don't know how good a defence he has.'"
No Evalds can think himself very unlucky he was one of the subs, came on after 70 minutes to replace Locke! Been one of Salfords best players the last few weeks, great prospect.

| fair play to salford, we were truly abysmal and were put to the sword today.
that hammering has been on the cards for a while as we have been pretty poor despite winning 9/10
salford hammered us in every department today and looked a class side, albeit helped by shocking defending, but you can only beat whats in front of you.
i'm just thankful you blew a few chances and didn't rack up at least 50 points, i think in all honesty the score flattered us.
well done to the supporters too, a good 250 or so and made lots of noise, although you did have lots to sing about.
hopefully this will give us a massive kick up the ar$e we need, if it does, then thanks

| someone mentioned effort earlier, i think the major difference today was effort, salford had lots, we had little, scoreboard showed that.

| Well played Salford better team by a country mile, we got beat because you were more hungry, aggressive had better line speed and ideas in attack. Giants were poor because Salford were in our faces and caused us to be poor!!! Locke looks a good signing and will go well for you. not gonna say how its been coming for the Giants or how poorr we were etc etc. You get what you deserve in this game and Salford getting the win says everything!!

| Giants coach Paul Anderson admitted his side's performance "wasn't good enough" but was critical of Salford's aggressive approach, claiming they were guilty of a host of "cheap shots".
"It seemed that way," he said. "Broughy was knocked to the ground after he passed the ball.
"My disappointment once Broughy and Eorl (Crabtree) and Robbo (Luke Robinson) got knocked out was that, our blokes didn't rip in and absolutely knock 10 bells out of the bloke that did it because one cheap shot deserves another."
seems mr Anderson has a short memory. I seem to recall one of their players breaking johnson jaw and got away withno punishment

| The difference is, we got a bloke sent off for the cheap shot, they didn't. Massive difference.

Welcome to Wakefield's world!
Even the SKY team were at it on Friday when we beat Leeds when all they could talk about was how many players Leeds had missing but no mention of the players missing for Wakefield, Kirmond, Lauitiiti, Sammut, Walshaw, Anderson, Collis, Annakin.
They even tried to diminish our wins over London Wigann and our draw with Hull by saying that we caught them all at the right time.
Well done on your performance against Huddersfield

He didn't "get away" with no punishment -he received no punishment -because he did nothing wrong! I seem to remember a host of Salford fans calling murphy all names under the sun? Surprisingly they aren't saying the same about their own- notice neither are we!
The sickest bit was tommy lee shaking his hand as he left the pitch-along with failing to go immediately down the tunnel, I also recall your fans going on about our fans reaction to your player being injured- I take it they weren't the ones jeering whilst brough was on the floor then?
Let's hope just like murphy tasi gets the punishment he deserves - hopefully you can discuss it with tasi whilst he's sat on the stands with you for the next few weeks.
Salford have improved enormously (well they couldn't get much worse) we have been "winning ugly" for the past few weeks and this loss was coming you only need to go back and read our board over the last few weeks to see we are not performing. Credit to Salford for how they played, but it's no great win to beat us, we only just squeezed past London.
