| Sneyd had an absolute corker of a match yesterday. I hope he returns to Salford next season. It'll be like having a new top class signing for the team.

| I think some fans are missing the point re Chase and Sneyd. Chase does not become a bad player over night and it is clear he has many talents, but at half back you need another good player alongside in order to open up teams and get the forwards going. I did think Smith was a far better player but to me he has not looked anything of the sort. He appears lost at times so losing him wont be a worry. Re Sneyd, he is clearly a talented player and I couldn't believe he was allowed to go out on loan in the first instance. We clearly have to set our stalls out for next year and getting Sneyd back is a must. His attacking play is clear to see and he seems to want to get involved at every play the ball. He also has the ability to kick goals which is a much valued added bonus. With him accompanying Chase I believe that will be a formidable half back partnership. The doc has got to make it clear (in a nice way) to Cas that he will be retained by the RED DEVILS, and the deal needs to be transmitted to SNEYD and make his aware that he is required.

| Quote: TheButcher "You see, Marwan in his latest Tweets was responding to the reams of abuse on the subject of Sneyd for the last few weeks. Him replying to some of those with 'He's a Salford player, and we want him back' or 'There's been no talks' is fair enough in my book. Cas has been doing well this season so far, but it's just half a season. After many years of struggling I'd have thought as a bunch of fans you'd be slightly more cautious in declaring your team the best thing since sliced bread after thirteen rounds of SL. What happens between now and the start of next season is crucial for you. You're a team that can't flash the cash and will still not be seen as a real contender until you're consistently in the play-offs. You're supposedly losing Clarke and will lose Sneyd and maybe a few others if top teams come sniffing around, and it will be hard for Cas not to cash in.
I think it's great that a 'lower' team has burst onto the scene this year, but it's far from certain at this moment in time whether that momentum will continue until the end of the year let alone into next season. The hardest thing for most teams outside of the top few in SL is maintaining a great season and building onto it further down the line.
So asking a silly hypothetical question like, 'If you were Sneyd, where would you want to play?' at this moment in time is redundant. There's a lot of time and events to happen yet.'"
Castleford remind me of the Salford team of 2006. Written off by everyone pre-season, starting the year in great form, playing good defence and scoring some exciting tries. We all know what happened the following season though...

I had that exact same thought the other day, the main problem I foresee for Cas will be the bigger teams coming for the talent that has either emerged this season of blossomed. I notice that the Huarki whispers have died down over the last couple of weeks and I hope that is because the deal of fallen by the wayside, after watching Cat yesterday I'd be happy if the Doc made Clarke his number one target as buying him and your buying a future star of RL.

While some of the posts on twitter by Cas fans are out of order M.K is by no means innocent with stuff he posts.
You don't see the likes of Hetherington and Moran on twitter do you?, maybe he should lower his profile a little and ponder why spending a shed load of money on his squad can't actually buy team spirit.'"
MK has posted some cringeworthy stuff on Twitter, but none of it warrants the stream of personal abuse he often gets. A lot of people see it for what it is, a bit of banter (Sometimes poorly judged) but there's a lot more who feel the need to be totally obnoxious.
As for other Chairmen? There's plenty of them on there and some saying more controversial things than MK. However, as a Cas fan you're probably not aware of this as you are seemingly transfixed with everything MK does.

When he tweets things about signing two Tigers, and given you have apparently signed Hauraki and sniffing around Clark & Huby you can imagine how some of our fans would feel wouldn't you?...it appears he is making things personal between the two clubs (even if some Cas fans tweets are out of order).
Anyway good luck for Thursday..

Sadly he likes to engage in the modern phenomenon known as banter. No real need for it but the mock outrage is laughable.

As his player sponsor last season I hope Marc Sneyd's future is still with Salford.
I understand his loan deal eased the path to completing the deal for Chase last season & was to say the least an astute bit of business by Powell & Orr.
for me it was too high a price to pay.
I would completely understand if he chose to stay .
I find it odd that Cas fans would take such offense at us , when for decades . Leeds- Hull - Wigan have perennially picked Cas up players at will, maybe it's the ignominy that's it's us? not a Wigan or Warrington?
Regarding Huby Clarke etc isn't it because they are targets of other SL clubs:- Warrington - Huddersfield ( they're available- at a price )that we are also being linked ?
It's happened to us all too often for us to gloat .
The refreshing thing about our owner is his accessibilty , I don't believe he means to offend , we as fans certainly don't,

| I think his openness is refreshing. He could just do to have an advisor sat by him that would make some comments less controversial! The abuse he gets off some is embarrassing. I dislike the man, from racing too. But even there he would talk to anyone. He's ambitious and determined. His brash approach just doesn't sit right with everyone.

| Trying to work out why Koukash cryptically saying he hoped to sign a couple of players from a club or clubs called the Tigers (when there are several of them) is apparently terrible and classless, but Powell naming a contracted player from another club is ok.

Because he's currently playing for us? He's loaned to us, it's not as though he's just said "Yeah we plan to sign a couple of Salford players" out of thin air. Unlike your guy?
Come on - I understand that Koukash is the holy grail over in Salford but the guy needs to learn to air his dirty laundry away from Twitter like a professional. No other Chairman would dream of engaging in ing contests with fans of other clubs.

Show me where he's said "Yeah, we plan to sign a couple of Castleford players".
I don't care where's Sneyd is currently [iloaned[/i. Powell has openly said that the club are trying to sign a player contracted by another club.
