I also think youth is the way to go rather than buying journeymen from down under - weve bought too much dead wood under Mcrae and it didn't work.'"
Who do do you suggest he ask,s and buy the way Parish is definitely no mug.

lets not forget Wakey were odds on to go , had their whole squad made up of loanees or 1 yr deals , now on a stay of execution have to rebuild a squad of 25 .
So like a W yorks version of supermarket sweep have been mopping up OOC Clubs Players
I count 7
Andy Ellis 26 ( Harlequins ) Hooker 3yr
Oliver Wilkes 31 yrs ( Harlequins ) Prop 2yr
Vince Mellars 27 ( Crusaders ) Centre 3yr
Steve Southern 29 ( Newcastle ) 2nd Row , 2yr
Motu Tony 29 ( resigned ) utility back 1yr
Peter Fox 26 (Hull KR ) Winger 3 yr
Ali Lauitiiti 32 (Leeds ) Back Row 2yr
still got 18 to go at least , + plus a new coach & assistant

Is that Luke or Toby? and find it hard to believe that Sidlow would be allowed to go along with Cashemere and if your right (fingers, toes and eyes crossed) that Feka will be at Widnes, means we'd only have a couple of current first team props.

Perhaps it repaid the council loan that kept the club going.

Perhaps it did Alan. That would be good business sense as you well know. Maybe it went towards the upkeep of The Willows so that your tin-pot outfit could enjoy their 15 minutes of fame in quality surroundings instead of the nearest campsite

Ah yes but I also remember us winning a trophy at Station Rd the last time we played there. And that was one that meant something - remember when you had your own ground??

I'm really pleased that Swinton have done well this season and I hope they kick on in the Championship next season.
What confuses me is the knee jerk reaction of Swinton Fans to get a dig into our ribs as if their success on it's own isn't enough , which I think is sad.
However in the spirit I will point out that after years in the wilderness they finally hit on a recipe for success,
Salford Ground , Salfords Ex Coach , Salford's ex halfback playmaker & half a dozen ex Salford players/ academy
They finally hit back

It shows the sad demise of a once proud club to be honest. I would've tought that Salford would be the last thing on Swinton fans minds after they won the league.
