| Quote: Early Bath "You really have it in for him. Just looked at your previous posts. Its a one man crusade against Iestyn. Has IH been seeing your missus or something? Now clear off & come and see us at Christmas as then we can decide whether he is good enough. Tim Sheens is a better judge than you & he was right behind Iestyn & his methods.'" Why wait until Christmas? The bottom line is that you can persist with Iestyn and make excuses each year as to why you aren't performing or achieving your goals, scratch your heads and wonder why certain players don't perform or signings don't work out and pretend your club is making some sort of progress when it isn't. Or you can appoint a top coach and watch things change virtually overnight. If you don't believe me ask Warrington fans, or Man City fans.

| Iestyn Harris NEEDS to be replaced.
As majority of fans have said, all teams have injuries. Suspensions due to the way Harris has us playing have crippled us as well. All teams have injuries yet Harris has recruited badly and we now have no depth in squad.
Harris failed in rugby Union, failed at the Crusaders and failed with Wales in the World Cup.
Get on your bike Harris you are not good enough for our beloved club!

| Well we seem to have all the usual naysayers on. The fair weather fans and in Marios case the interloping Wiganner.
This club desperately needs a steadying influence and no further upheaval.
As for injuries etc even Stevie Wonder would see that IH has been very, very unlucky with the key men Locke, Chase, Patterson & Dobson being out.
Some Salford fans on here need to quit moaning & give the lads some support like the 400 who went on Friday.

Your comments show that you are not only naive with little understanding of RL but your continued presence on this forum is unwanted.
Get back to the Wigan board where you belong.
As for Harris - he was a wonderful footballer commanding huge transfer fees and respect wherever he played ........and at the top level.
If failing at RU equals being capped at International level after just a handful of games then so be it.
He didnt fail at Crusaders - the 2 cronies there Moss & Roberts failed to pay the players and even you will understand that no pay equals no play in Rugby League.
Finally the World Cup. Did you see the cards he was dealt? The players available? A handful of Championship players and Under 21s. Even Jesus would have taken time for them to gel.
Now as I said to HH - I will say to you - Clear Off .......in your case back to Wigan

| It's a bit of a tabloid headline though isn't it? Doesn't tell the real story. We lost by ten points to what at the time was the best team in the league - no shame in that even with a first choice XIII. We then lost three games by four points - admittedly we shouldn't be losing to a team from the league below but then I suspect Wiganers said the same thing in 1996, and Salford have always been a club ripe for a cup upset in either direction. We didn't really compete with Huddersfield, Warrington or Widnes granted, but this is a team which quite frankly looks shot to pieces. We haven't had anything that remotely resembles stability since Easter and it looks to me that we have a lot of players who are playing whilst unfit due to injuries because we have been so threadbare.
The difference between us and the likes of Wigan, Saints and Leeds in these scenarios is that we don't have the depth and quality of kids that can step in and plug those gaps, not only are their kids better raw material than what we have access to but they've also been in the club structures a lot longer and so can better slot in to those gaps. This doesn't happen overnight and can't be pinned on Harris at this stage of his tenure.
I think Harris has done a good job so far, although I do agree that fingers need to be pointed vis-a-vis team discipline. Get behind him and the team and stop thinking that there is always a better solution around the corner. The one thing I have not seen out of this team is a lack of effort or adventure, and frankly that's all I'd ask for under the circumstances we'd face this season.

| My gut feeling tells me that we will show our best form in the middle 8 playoffs and I'm never usually wrong.

| Why sack Harris? We seen what we could do with a fully fit squad over the BH weekend. We need consistency not instability

| Our two impressive victories over the Easter period against Huddersfield and Wigan are all that is keeping IH in a job at the moment. Prior to these, we had two narrow and nail biting home wins against Wakefield and Hull FC, a convincing win against an injury hit Widnes and of course the draw at Catalan after giving up a 20 point lead.
I wasn’t convinced he was the man of the job when he was appointed, his CV was poor and didn’t merit the opportunity. However I felt momentum was building towards Easter and the two results against Huddersfield and Wigan were fantastic, however since then we’ve lost 8 games on the bounce. Was Easter a fluke? Did we catch Wigan at a good time following their energy sapping game against St Helens just days before? Our improving defence and team spirit has long gone and is nowhere to be seen since.
I don’t want to us holding on to those two impressive wins over Easter as a reason to keep hold of Harris. He should be based on the season as a whole. Injuries are unfortunate but happen to all teams, our suspensions are above average and are a direct consequence of the style of defence IH is implementing. He takes full responsibility for those.
I’m in the camp of give him until the end of the season, judge him on the year as a whole. If our position hasn’t improved then unfortunately I could not argue with Koukash if he was to give him the boot.
I would also like to add; situations beyond Harris control are also contributing to the current downfall in our fortunes. Koukash’ treatment of TP and Kevin Locke has caused major issues amongst the oversea contingent within the squad. The likes of TP, Paterson, Locke, Sa’u, Tasi, Chase, Hauraki etc are all a close knit ‘clique’ and havent taken too kindly to the treatment of their friends. Would a more experienced head coach allow such to happen? Is IH too scared to give Koukash a piece of his mind. Probably and understandably so.

| Anyone just feeling like this at the moment? After the successful Easter victories, I genuinely felt we had turned a corner and were on our way to becoming a top 8 team. Since then we’ve had 8 straight defeats, dumped out the cup by a Championship team, watched our star players pick up lengthy suspensions for stupid acts, lost Taylor for 2016 (inevitable I know), lost Tasi, Koukash’ public embarrassment of Kevin Locke, Theo handing in a transfer request and still to sign up the likes of Paterson beyond the end of the season and no sign of any new signings for 2016.
Hopefully a win against Wakefield on Sunday will be the start of a mini-revival. I don’t even want to consider a defeat, which isn’t exactly unlikely given it will be Brian Smith first game in charge.
Sorry for the negative post, there just seems to be such a bad atmosphere around the club at the moment with next to no positivity!

| We’re Salford fans, being negative and moaning is what we do best. We’re just use to it after years and years of mediocrity etc, but I feel it is fully deserved at the moment. As I say, a win this weekend will make everyone feel better but we know what happened last season when we went to Wakefield needing a win to keep our play-off hopes alive…

| It does feel like this club is cursed to fail. One step forward and two steps back seems a repetitive theme that creates frustration and negativity, generating criticism and counter defensive response.
Whether it's bad luck with injuries, self inflicted indiscipline, poor officiating decisions, harsh disciplinary action, unhappy players or washing our dirty laundry in public.
Surely at some point soon the fortunes of this club must change for the better.

| I'm really struggling with it too at the moment . Don't get me wrong , I've followed Salford since my dad took me in the late 70's early 80's and seem some dross but getting to the point at I was a while ago which was pure disillusionment. We've had some (on paper) great signings in the last 2 years but a serious of things , Fages being the latest is causing issues.
For example ,we had all the hot air about Hock not playing , getting sued etc when the realist was he played and contributed to us getting knocked out of the cup.
Locke and TP being treated pretty shabbily , Tasi being allowed to leave having only a 2 year deal ,numerous bans which although some were harsh , the players / staff need to take some accountability. This on top of fixture changes meaning we've had to miss matches through no fault of ours is honestly making me and others consider commiting to season tickets next year , especially with the recent £5 tickets.
I only look for improvement in the team throughout the season and at the moment ,sitting 2nd bottom , I don't see any.
