| He has an English passport
176 kl =5'-9'' 81kg = 12s 9lb
According to reports he's been scoring tries for fun..............Must have a bit of pace
But can he tackle ? for every try Patten scores/makes, he gives the same away

Confirmed on the fishal site: www.reds.co.uk/rugby-news/towers ... h-for-reds
Very odd that we've all been raving about getting Fages in yet we sign another young foreigner and everyone complains. As I see it it's a good move from the club ... gives both parties chance to have a look and he also has half a season to learn from a very experienced full back who has performed at the top level. Let's hope he performs as well as the last Aussie full back we brought over on loan.
From me, I'd just to say hi and that I hope he gives us an eye full on the pitch.

It seems signing foreigners is OK as long as they're not Australian.

| Saw Luke playing for Limoux in a game last year, one thing noticable in a very one sided game was he was very quick off the mark- very pacey

Agreed. He should certainly add some depth to our full-black pool.

| Seem to remember a certain Steve Gibson , coming over a virtual unknown and doing alright in a Full Back role.
Michael Dobson came over mid season for Wigan and had a positive effect , he kept them up
I agree , Nial Evalds - Tom Whitehead could step up
but Toyota Cup NSW is a step up from 20's in SL , and he's your typical ' utility back '
Full Back- Half Back - Wings so I can see why Veivers is willing a have a look at him Mid Season and have first Dabs if he's a prospect , cover numerous back positions as we've had injuries all season.
I'm also guessing he'll be cheaper than Patten

| I can't see any issue in signing him, cover across the back three and the halves at a push. Also as has been said he will be on considerably less than Pattern so money to spend elsewhere on the players we more desperately need.

| What message does it send out to the lad who is playing full back in your under 21's. They seem to be doing reasonably well.
Surely you would have thought that promotion from within show's your youngsters that they have a chance of making the grade instead of signing an Aussie who to be fair nobody has heard of.

| Obvioulsy PV doesnt think that the lads in the 21s arnt ready to compete in superleague every week, i would rather the club give the under 21s the experience in short sharp burst than blow them out chucking them in and letting them get destroyed both physically and mentally.
Looks from the You Tube clip he is very fast, would like to see him in defence as we know what pattens weaknesses are.

| I understand your concerns about getting them "blown out" but he could ease the full back in this season whilst Patten is still here, that was my point.

| Be interesting to see if he gets some game time would Patten be happy to "step aside" towards the back end of the season if we have nothing to play for? i doubt it but i cant see the point of getting the bloke over if we are not going to play him
