there are two possible scenarios of whom may take us over:
Kennedy of Sale Sharks
Peel Holdings

Both will destroy Salford RLFC.
Ask any firm, business, club or similar who have had one of these "take them over".

Surprisingly, attendances are actually up on this time last year.

Compare our 6 home games so far this season with our first 6 home games last year and crowds are up.

Compare our 6 home games so far this season with the corresponding fixtures last year (ie. against the same 6 teams) and crowds are still up.

Not sure how/why though?! Maybe it's not all as 'doom-and-gloom' as some think??

i can,t believe the amount of sand in the shed for people to stick their head in,we are in a mess,we have no idea what tomorrow will bring either on or of the field,you cannot move forward if you don,t know which way forward is,we need some leadership from somewhere,on the board or in the coaching staff,lets face it ,I could have wrote this any time for the past twenty years,but its never been quite as bizzare as it is now.

Hopefully with us finally agreeing to part company with Mcrae and the prospect of a new coach pretty soon then things will be looking up.

Monday and with nothing to do here are our figures for the first 6 home matches this season
Total attendance 2011 = 30,324
Total attendance 2010 for the same 6 teams = 29,734
so effectively up 590 or an extra 98 per game.
The first 6 games of last season total attendance = 24,416
an increase here of 5,908 or 985 per game.
We have played 3 teams in both of first 6 games each season

Bradford...............2,809..........3,806 down 997 Clashed with Utd v City at Wembley
Crusaders.............3,416..........3,421 down 5 Crusaders taxi broke down on way to ground.

I don't make any conclusions, but collectively we are up but against the same teams in the same period we are down 1344 fans.

We may be down on those three fixtures but the other 3 teams we've played so far this year are all up on last year;
Saints = 5,929 this year (5,685 in 2010) = up 244
HKR = 4,408 this year (4,111 in 2010) = up 297
Wire = 7,496 this year (6,093 in 2010) = up 1,403

which means that there's been an increase of 1,944 over those 3 games.

Add that to the fall of 1,344 in the 3 games you referred to add we're 590 higher over the 6 games against those teams this year than we were last.

I bet you two are a real hit at dinner parties



Don't forget that for some fans it is the last time they will visit the Willows and I'd suggest that for some older ones a trip to a traditional rugby ground is an oppertunity they won't miss with so many closing.
