Disagree about Evalds, I think he'd do more than a good job at stand-off. That would mean our backs would line up something like this (injuries dependent);
1. BJB
2. Johnson
3. Sa'u/Walton
4. Paterson
5. MCB
6. Evalds
7. Fages
A much more attractive proposition than what we've seen recently.'"
I think Sa'u is out for a good few weeks yet.

So who is your second pivot? Without one the backs wont see the ball. Fages cant do it on his own

Evalds was the pivot with Theo in the Academy initially, he went to fullback to cover injury if I'm not mistaken, & preffered the f/b spot so stayed there, so there is no reason he can't play in the halves with Theo & BJB to fullback

Fair enough SB - I just see Evalds now in another role

| Didn't Hauraki play in the halves at Castleford?
Evalds is much to potent a weapon not be playing at the back and I just don't see BJB as a viable/reliable option.
Evalds.
Johnson.
Walton/MCB.
Patterson.
BJB.
Hauraki.
Fages.
Has MCB ever played either in the halves or at full back, at the back you'd think he has the elusive running and speed too cause problems, just not sure on the positional side of things.

My second pivot would be Evalds, hence the reshuffle in moving him to 6. As BBM says, he played a lot of his academy RL in the halves co-incidentally alongside Theo. We just cant go into another game with one half-back, it's ridiculous at this level.
MR - how can you not see BJB as a viable option at FB for one game? The lad is absolute mustard. Didn't have his best game against Huddersfield, but he's been rushed back sooner than he should have been. He'll be better for that game and the two weeks off by the time the Warrington game comes around. MCB should definitely not be anywhere near the halves or full-back.

Forgive me if I'm exaggerating on this but BJB has been terrible under the high ball. Don't get me wrong I like the lad as a player but it seems he drops more than he catches, especially for a lad of his size.
I'm happy for someone to prove me wrong btw but I'm pretty sure Stef will be bombing him to death given the opportunity.

This is what I think, winger or at a push centre for me, MCB and Johnson are just about the two quickest wingers in SL, BJB more than has the size for centre. It's nice though that even with this kind of injury level we have 3 wingers of the quality we have.

| Selective memories here perhaps. Are we forgetting all of Evalds dropped bombs too? BJB has made 15 errors this season, Evalds has made 12 and played a game less. There really isn't much between them both, in defence and attack.

I'm really not trying to have a dig at BJB and I can appreciate Evalds isn't infallible. However, I'd argue that Niall's errors have often come from more difficult kicks, 50/50 challenges with a bigger guy etc. BJB does seem to make a hash of some fairly straight forward kicks and the attempt which he volleyed on Friday which led to Hudds 3rd (?) try was pretty woeful. IMO, Evalds more than punches above his weight/height under the high ball.... I'd suggest the opposite with BJB.
But like I said I really like BJB, I just think he needs serious work on that part of his game as he's a big lad and could be as deadly as a Joel Monaghan/Ryan Hall, certainly from an attacking point of view with kicks.

Surely though at full back Evalds is targeted more with tricky high balls, not having a go at either as both even with every player in the squad fully fit would be in my starting 17.
