The point people are making is that for Smith to take umbrage with someone making a legitimate approach for a player is just daft. That's without even taking into account any dark arts Wire may have used in the pursuit of Myler and Ratchford, although I'd guess most Salford fans accept that as part of the game. |

Well said, it is all about timing.
Perhaps your club should have sorted itself out sooner? It would have saved a lot of angst. How often was that phrase heard "Takeover confirmed club statement next Tuesday blah blah"? I'm not for one minute saying that any particular 'feet dragging' was well received on here, or by the fans in general, it must have been a worrying time, but, feet dragging there was whilst interested parties were jockeying for postion. It's resolution suddenly doesn't mean that other clubs have to play ball.
I bear no ill will, we also had a period where we couldn't keep players, Harris, Sculthorpe and Gregory before that, really glad you appear to have a new era to look forward to

Seriously, I take your point on Smith, but, surely we all understand that it's a bit of posturing really, that's what's daft? He's employed to look after Warrington's interests after all not worth getting upset over either way.
Slightly off thread, one thing that did strike me as 'off' although based on conjecture was Bradford's
ability to turn from carcass to vulture when it looked like you guys were really in a dark place. |

Agreed it's a nothing issue in the grand scheme of things.
As for Bradford, do you mean them taking Sidlow off us? It's a professional sport and that's the way things go. When Widnes were in the mire, we pinched Myler off them and you then pinched him off us. That's all part of sport even if it does stick in the throat. |
