FWIW we have a very strong board especially Mr.Ian Watson who in my eyes would be the perfect candidate for Chairman after Wilky steps down .The main denominators who have stuck like crap to the shoe through every failure is SS and Tarry. They are both accountable, Wilky is too easily led , and it won't be long before more crap hits the fan. All the supporters want is honesty and something to be proud of, at the moment Salford RLFC stinks to the core!

My original post was about finding out about the shortfall in the clubs funding & see where the short fall was being made up from & whether the supporters could help. Having viewed the account overview provided by Barton Flyer I think the problem appears huge.
I am not a particular fan of the board as I believe the present set up lacks vision & does not endear itself to the supporters with so many opportunity past & present wasted in generating income.
I believe we were on the right path with Trish in marketing, however I believe if we love & want our club to succeed, now more than ever it would help if the board got together with a selected supporters forum & tried to get the supporters on board rather than isolating & polarising views.
Going back in time the forever reds must have been launched by some very dedicated supporters, who had vision & are still doing a great job of raising funds, this is the spirit we need now. It pains me to say but the clubs distance from the supporters is not helping bridge the gap needed & now more than ever I believe the club needs to bridge that gap.

They don't give s#it about the supporters, FACT!



































Unless it's Wilko crying in the press that he needs more money through the turnstyles but you'd get no thanks for that anyhow!

Interesting comment about Mr Watson as a Builder the poor lad will have more on his plate than most in this Recession.

Do the club provide gold plated contracts then? Statutory redundancy for Simms would be about 6k - from reading how many people currently feel, I reckon that could be raised from a sportsman's dinner.

You can't make a person redundant, only a role. This is where we need Lance and his expert knowledge of Steve Simms' role.

It looks like SS role is to be, "the subject of all Lancetod's postings" a clearly defined role there with set parameters, so if Lance was to stop doing this, then the role would be redundant.
