So he gives all them years of service to the club then he has to get off this back side and arrange everything? That's Salford all over, don't know why I'm surprised.

| Rumour has it that the club are seeing if they can get a game against new Zealand or Australia as a warm up game for the four nations which would certainly be a fitting game to see the end of the Willows

I am a big fan of Paul Highton's but didn't he have a testimonial committee who looked after his twelve month of fund raising?
I was at a meeting when Paul was asked about his testimonial game and his reply was that it was being organised.
I cannot believe that the club are being criticized over this, what next?

| Good to see the club stooges out in force again. Didn't the head coach at the time say we didn't have a space on the fixture list to fit the game in?

We sign overweight and injured players..... Oh wait
OK so he had a committee? So why didn't they sort a game out? If they offered to get involved get involved!!! Salford fans make me laugh if a certain Mr Alker didn't have a testimonial game there would of be uproar! Too many fans are that far up his back side, just because it was Highton, who was a solid player and always gave his all nothing more nothing less, people seem to have one rule for one and one rule for another!

Who mentioned Alker?Whatever he got as a testimonial he deserved it and it was organized for him by a committee.
Paul Highton was equally deserving as you have said but his testimonial could have been organized better to include a testimonial match if that is what he wanted.
Both players received lots of support from the very people that you are having a go at.

Rather than banging your head against a wall (And criticising anything and everything the club do or dont do) why don't you put your hand up and volunteer to get involved?
You obviously feel very passionate about it.

| I'm not criticising everything the club does, for example while I think the community work could be slightly improved however I think in the whole the job they do is good and rarely gets a mention because people don't want to know good news stories it's all about the bad. My issue is a feel at time the club is an embarrassment to the city of Salford but that's for another topic I don't want to digress. Why don't I get involved you say? Well when I'm spending my monies at the ground you think I am doing my job putting monies into the coffers, It's not upto us as fans to sort a players testiomal game. Which further goes to prove how much an embarrassment the club can be. As for the final game, seen as it agasint the Frenchies I would presume they're will be roughly 9k Salford fans there and maybe an extra 1k made up of rugby fans (Wigan, Leigh, St's) wanting to witness the final ever game at the Old Lady.

It's up to Paul or any testimonial player in any sport to choose their own Testimonial commitee, whether that be club officials, employees, agent, players, fans or friends and family.
It's up to the commitee to approach and arrange a convenient date for a testimonial game at the club. It is also the responsibilty of the player/commitee to approach the opposing team and get them to agree to play. (For those who don't know this is how testimonial games work) It's never the clubs who organise testimonial matches its always the commitee. If the initial date was not convenient on Mr McRae's say so (Assuming the post I read above is accurate) then its up to the comittee chairperson to further discuss with both clubs a date that is.

So what we're witnessing here is someone bleating, whining and accusing over a subject he/she has very little knowledge of?
Is this a Turkey first??
