Hull have the biggest pack in the league and will trouble the top 4, yet the team selection played into their hand. The interchanges by Hull distroyed us and we couldn't match it. Smarter selection needed for Thursday

I went last night and for me when the ball was dropped straight away from the kick off and then Hull went over after 4 mins.. You got that impending doom that it was it was going to be an uphill struggle all night

Hull have a massive pack who bullied our forwards but you can't make excuses for a lack of defensive structure and poor tackling technique ..the amount of extra yards they gained from us not getting the legs or not being aggressive enough in the tackle was a joke. It makes you wonder what work was done on defence close season?....Saying that I think a lot of teams will struggle at the KC this season so in a few weeks the result won't look as bad.

On the plus side we moved the ball around quickly and we never gave up..BMM looked good ..could do with a couple more of him....Lui showed flashes of what he can bring ..definitely need more bite in the forwards ..maybe try Haggerty if he is fit on Thursday?

If O'Brien is picked ahead of Evalds again this Thursday the regime will lose my respect. He is a good quality halve but not one of the modern breed can slot in at FB, if we wanted one of those we should have gone for Ratchford to come home.

Joseph also was odd not having played any pre season games where as Lannon and the Walnes did, I'd personally play Jones in the pack, bring in MCB/Johnson and load the bench with forwards, we get an injury in the backs Jones drops back and we have cover all over the park.

For me Adam Walne and Haggerty come in for O'Brian and Joseph. Haggerty is the biggest forward we have so needs to play. Keep the rest the same.

I also thoguht Tommy lee was really poor last night, I know Ive had a pop at him already and I don't have a vendetta against him. But not once did he scoot from acting half and to top if off he got sin binned (lthough we did play better without him on the pitch). Needs to massively up it for Saints or his place is under threat for me by young wilkinson

Tommy lee made a grand total of 5 metres although he is a good tackler would he be worth putting in at loose?

Our best hooker went because Watson for some reason didn't fancy him, Lee, tomkins so average it's unreal. Get hood back from swinton please and get 2 more forwards in now

That's simply not good enough.

He needs to up his game this week coming. Like others have said, some strange choices made by the management, although we are not privvy to the minutiae of why these things happen. It could be fitness, slight knocks, illness, or plain poor choices.

We'll need a few changes for the Saints game.

I always thought lee was better at loose forward as he is a stand in hooker at best for me. This game wasn't lost on one players effort however, defensively we missed so many tackles and the 3 consecutive tries conceded in quick succession is really poor. We need a big angry prop...does BMM have a any brothers??!

I'm totally fed up. I went into this season with renewed/false hope, one match in i know but after what weve been through it doesn't take much to reduce your confidence to zero again. Saints next week can only see one winner and again on Sky. Looked a bit lost as a team Friday imo and why oh why we never invested in 2 other big props I just don't know when they say there is room in the cap, so obvious to us all, we need to go all out shopping to get that sorted and quick, most teams have big props but us. Its very early but an im a half full guy and we are staring at bottom 4 again. Its only last night apart from 5 or 6 I realised we don't have the quality or size up front.

Sorry but josh jones, carney, vidot, kopczak, flanaghan, lui, masila, gaz obrien, are not crap players infact there veyy good players some exceptional but i do agree that were light in the pack

80 minutes into the season and its the same old griping.

Tim has built a team for modern Summer Rugby League and O`Brien is important for him as an extra pivot to get the ball wider to the centres and wingers where we have an abundance of talent.

Feb & March will not be our best months on Heavy grounds but when firmer you will see the difference.

I dont go with this `need 2 big props` if we are trying to play a completely different style.

I would agree if we were going 5 drives and a kick.

So cut Tim & Ian a bit of slack - give it time before moaning but sadly that`s a hope too far with some of our fans who know more about Rugby League than a top NRL player & then coach of the best team in the World.

It's simply too early to be making any judgement at the moment.

I think it would be more valid to praise or criticize after half a dozen games. We've got a tough start there's no denying, but SL finishing spots are dictated at the end of the season, not after one game.
