Reading through the story on the Daily Mirror site and then various Tw@tter comments it would seem this matter was resolved,to the extent it heads to a RFL Tribunal,about a fortnight ago.

Why it has hit the press/public now,at a very important time for a number of clubs,is probably open to speculation.

Surprised by some views,when there does appear to have been questions raised in the past when young talent was permitted to leave your club with a minimum of resistance.

As an outsider,if the owner has put a price on the head of a player who is under contract and then the player takes a particular stance to facilitate a move,most people would stand four square with the owner.

to much power has gone to players and their agents in recent years. I am a Wakey fan and have seen many a decent player force a situation to get a move when they were on contract with us. From the outside looking in and not knowing any background I just think its great that you have an owner who has the money to say no and then let the players stew. More power to his elbow I say. Agents are low life and `smaller ` clubs like Wakey have just had to suck it up.

It would be interesting/instructive to understand just what TM Sports' input into all this has been.

As well as being Theo's agent they also, of course, represent a Mr G Hock!

For me, this season and it's constant circus has already finished, to the extent that I probably wont attend any of the middle 8s fixtures... Need to become rehabilitated after my forced stay at "padded towers" and recharge my one remaining brain cell for next season

The Butcher, you say you are staying out of this as you don't know the facts, however then firmly round on the player. I know it is hard to see but something is clearly wrong. Harris, Fages, Locke, Hock, TP, CCJ's, Players not getting paid the list goes on. Something is wrong and badly wrong. To much smoke at your club.

I don't know what to make of anything surrounding the club these days. What the hell has happened since Easter? Everything seemed great until then, apart from the ongoing TP drama which was mainly hushed whispers at the time. I've lost interest to a large extent now, I can't see how we're even going to attract new players if there aren't major changes in the way the clubs portrayed over the coming months.

I base my opinion on the facts that I know, rather than the ones I don't. In Fages case it's quite simple. He dropped down the pecking-order behind Chase and Dobson. He then wouldn't sign an extension even though the Club told him he was valued and his time would come. He then put a transfer request in and the Club put a value on him. The value was high because it reflected what the Club thought of him, his remaining contract, and hoped he would come around. He then waits until just before we start our most important fixtures for years to upset the apple cart some more and try and resign and take the Club to tribunal. Something that another player who dropped down the pecking-order tried, and by the looks of it, failed.

I can't disagree with you when you say there's something wrong at Salford. That much is plain. But exactly what it is is just speculation to us.

On a personal level, if players want to go, let them. I'd rather support a group of players who want to be at Salford and are poop, rather than a bunch of players who think they're great but are poop.

You are discussing the affect here but don't know the cause. He is obviously very keen to leave. Dropped down the pecking order? To me it seemed more like soon as Dobson was fit he was out of the picture. Players are wanting to leave behind very lucrative contracts.

Really none of my business but the fans need to know what they are spending their hard earn cash on, is it a Rugby League club or just some ones ego.

I am a Warrington fan, but I've always followed Salford's progress (or otherwise) with interest, as I work in Manchester just across the M60 from the AJ. It really does pain me to see what the Salford fans are going through. I was always of the opinion that MK was a breath of fresh air in our game and so supported most of his rant and raves (all be it with raised eyebrows!). I know the majority of what we hear is purely conjecture about MK's financial dealings, but IMHO there is no smoke without fire. Unfortunately now I think matters have got to the stage where something drastic has to happen to prevent the Salford name being tarnished more than it is. Could the club survive without The Docs money? (honest question to you supporters).

Salford loses money for its owner,always has done,so it's a rich mans hobby.
If we've breached Theo's contract terms,then he's entitled to take whatever action is open to him which may not necessarily mean that he can resign.
I suspect the RFL will be tough on the player,or it could open exit doors all over the place.

You're also discussing an affect without knowing the cause. You're speculating. We also have players signing extensions so it can't all be the Nazi death camp of SL players. Strangely, when Dobson was fit he WAS out of the picture. That's what we call a 'pecking-order'.

I'm not wearing rose-tinted glasses, here. I'm not supporting one side over another, and just a bit fed-up with my Club, the attitudes of some players, the owner, and the hordes of idiots who want to lecture Salford fans like we haven't heard the same old ty opinions repeated for the last two and half years.

I think we all know the club is/has been a shambles behind the scenes this year. The fact he wants to leave in the first place is down to the way things have been at the club in recent months. However the timing of this is what will leave a sour taste in regards to the fans/player relationship. No need whatsoever for it to be happen now when he is already transfer listed and more than likely would've been on his way in the off season anyway. A disappointing attempt to rock the boat before the most important part of the season and a big up yours to a fanbase who could even be described as being over supportive of Theo during his time at the club.

My personal opinion is that it's not Theo's fault that this is now in the press - he is the unfortunate player who is stuck in the middle of a wrangle that his representatives and the club are discussing - going by some of MK tweets, he is also saying it's no fault of Theo's...

Can we stop the witchhunt/scapegoat searching that is dividing the support between Theo and MK.. Salford Rugby League Football Club is more important

It seems to be broken promises, Re- MONEY not just Theo but quite a few players. Who will be the next player wanting away ? When will Tim Sheens Leave like all the other people the Dr brought in ?

It wasn't aimed at you, Danny. More a general rounding-up of, in the majority, ill-thought opinion and personal dislikes for the last few years. There isn't a thread that goes by without groundless and pointless lecturing from opposition (and sometimes our own) fans. This is fine, but it wears thin after a long time.

I wasn't disagreeing with everything you said, far from it. There's always two sides to a story and at the moment we don't get that with anything to do with Salford. Some of it is Salford's fault some of it isn't.

The issue is nothing to do with money. That's straight from Theo's representatives.

Probably correct that there's no real need to take sides however we are now in a situation where the whole atmosphere around the club is back on a downer 2 days before our biggest game of the season to the extent of many people now apparently deciding not to attend the game. A situation that could've been avoided over a contract breach that allegedly happened months ago, featuring a player that if we go down will get his move anyway as a free agent, and if not would've almost certainly been sold to the highest bidder after the end of the season.

Thanks for that. It's was never this hard to be a RL fan before Super league. Our teams will never get near the teams who have quality that have come through the ranks and be able to hold onto them. You can't just buy that. Sad for Salford and I don't know where this will all end.

Downer or not, no point one side of the fans having a go at Theo, and the other side, having a go at Marwan..
I believe in Karma, and the numpty who leaked this story to the press will get their comeuppings!!!!

Judging how things have panned out this year I can see either Chase or Dobson getting crocked and us not having any halves cover now.
