I estimated 2700 - 2800, but considering the 40+ point losses from the 1st 3 games the Sunday evening K/O time. and the fact it was sky TV would have strongly influenced the walk up crowd from Salford and the away following from HkR .
l went to the Headingley game last Friday and imagined tonights game would be another loss albeit with a closer score.
But thats Salford for you, and those that were in attendance can applaud themselves for keeping the faith and adding great vocal support.

Good to see you get a win, yes crowd was poor, another step forward though. Seeing it looked so bad for you only a couple of months back I think we can give you a little time now to build. I hope and believe you will become a real force!!

A lot of work for Mr K to do , I hope he realises that investing in the playing squad alone will not achieve increased attendances , massive marketing and community work needed over several years to get the local populace to turn up in numbers

Criticising our attendance at the moment is the lowest form of attack any rugby league supporter could have at this moment in time? Salford RLFC are on the verge of something special if Koukash, Lowe and Farish are anything to go by! You should be applauding a very understrength side for a magnificent win and praying that we go from strength to strength so that another RL club brings superleague to the masses! I really don’t think lack of work in the community is an issue, it’s something the club has been working hard at for several years. I agree on the marketing but for it to be really effective you need a decent winning team and a few superstar players to market?

For instance if your team Leigh had a marketing budget of 500K a year just how many more people would turn up regularly to watch them without any investment in the team? My guess is not that many. For marketing to be a effective you have to offer a product that people want and a bottom 3 club every year that lose 2 out of every 3 games obviously doesn’t appeal to the general Salford public at £20 a game.

A winning team will result in increased crowds. If as you all expect the players brought in will result in such a team then you will see crowds grow.

Well I know with all the pre season turmoil I never booked time off work for games incase it was wasted. As a result Leeds has been my one and only game and will be for next few games as well. I would presume there are others in a similar position to what I have done?

What an absolutely amazing performance, (I'm a bulls fan) now your future is sorted you can concentrate on performances like that, I only wish that we had as stadium like yours....carry on like that and your stadium will be full in no time

I'd suggest that whatever you did at the Willows would have been money wasted ,
I am talking about a ten fold increase in what you have previously done , essentially filling a whole stand every game with families on initially free , then heavily discounted tickts , but all under stick controls to prevent abuse

Would have been 1,990 if Simms had been on Vievers shoulder. What is the official story: has Simms left? Not heard anything about his whereabouts.
