I agree that 3 years isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things, but surely we should have seen some (if only slight improvements), but we haven't. If anything it's got worse. To have our academy side in tier 2 in his first year and maybe even his second or 3rd would have been acceptable if we could see things getting better and the academy set up was moving forward. For it to be at the end of his 3rd year (going into the 4th by the time next season comes around), shows that the club is going backwards and not forwards. Its just another body blow in a massive line of body blows.

As for not having a club. I don't buy into we would have had club, maybe not in the top flight (ok definitely not in the top flight), but we would have survived. It wouldn't have been a very nice existence, but neither is this to be honest.

All I want like everyone else that supports Salford is to see light at the end of the tunnel, Marwan provided this when he first took over. I'm afraid now I've come to the conclusion the man is nothing but a buffoon.

I was under the impression Dr Koukash was going to attempt to get hold of the stadium about 5 years after taking over and then having a hostel for the academy players constructed around/attached to the stadium.
The plan was to have the first team achieve something and act as a magnet for young players from across a wide area.
Wasn't Tim Sheens brought to your club to oversee all aspects,including the Academy,in February?

Wasn't the RFL going to have regional academies and Salford,as they weren't graded highly the other year,not going to benefit?

If its that poor then why have we just won u19s? There's been significant improvement within the u19s this year and you should know this. There has been significant improvement and impact within the coaches as well. How you can blame marwan is unjustifiable, want to blame anyone blame the rfl you complete tool, they and they alone have ruined the aspects of every academy up and down the country, this is Purley by not playing reserve games as younger players don't get the chance to prove it and probably won't until it comes back, and do you even watch our team you lemon! Hi Adam, clearly your a glass half full kind of guy! Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and i respect and agree with parts of yours. However some supporters have just about had enough of all the lies and bull marwan has come out with.
I actually think what we are seeing now are the effects of the last 3 years rather than being a true reflection of what is happening now, I think potentially he could have finally learned what he should be doing. I just hope it's not too late.
I can completely understand ave it's feeling and he owes nobody an apology, that's his opinion and he's more than entitled to it.
I just hope we win on Saturday and there are no more dramas before next week!!

My input for what it's worth is as follows: -
Marwan has come in and made bold statements without understanding how Rugby League works. most haven't been fulfilled as most of us know.
He's now employed in Tim Sheens one of the best two Rugby league minds in the world and agreed to take a step backwards and leave it to him.
If anybody can sort out the mess we're in it's Tim Sheens.
Let's keep the faith and give him a chance to set the foundations in place for us to move forward.
