People want a brand new style of punishment for Rangi. Ban him for as long as Ferres is out for? Would be a interesting if it was a legal method of punishment in any sport in the world.

I will be interested to see the punishment for the next tackle of this nature and the consistency of the RFL.

should have been more, absolutely no place in the game for those kind of tackles,.
as Daz says any player who does that should be out for as long as the injured player is.

if one of our players did that i would happily accept that if the injured player is out for 4 months then so should the attacker!

Ban deserved. Be interesting when the next leeds/wigan player do this how long they get. Just saying.....

The maximum ban was 8 games. He got 7. The method of punishment that you want doesn't exist for crying out loud!

For what it's worth I don't think Rangi and Salford can have any complaints. I don't know if it was intentional or not but cannonball tackles have no place in the game. I just hope the rfl are consistent in their punishment as the season goes on.

I have no problem with the ban given to Rangi. I was not there and only seen it on TV. I feel he has been banned for the injury to Ferres. Are all tackles similar to Rangi's going to be punished or just the ones that injure a player? If the answer is all then there will be lots of players banned after viewing the TV matches last weekend. Something for the RFL to consider.

Can you appeal,if so I would.I don't condone dirty play but I think 7 games is way over the top. The way we are going we will be playing Rugby Tig next.If he had been at Leeds he would have got two weeks in Spain.
