1999 was really turgid stuff. This is the closest team to reach that level of stodge. But at least we can make concessions for the current crop. We have a more promising outlook now than we did then (the new stadium plans were yet to be broached). And I think the threat of relegation will really make next season one to look forward to.

What was really bizzare about this match was Salford were actually leading for just under 10 minutes earlier in the game.

Whilst i agree the Badford humiliation (oh there has been so many ! ) was bad it was nothig compared to the capitulation the week after at Wakefield.
Gonna be a long season with many lows, hopefully some highs.

What worries me about koukash is he came along shouting from the rooftops bout players and now says he has players signed but wnt announce them yet as wnt be fair,yet Wakefield this morning announce the signing of chris Tuson for next year!you are allowed to announce from now so surely if he likes shouting from the rooftops who are these players?!

Dr Koukash said he can't announce the signings yet as they are still playing for their respective clubs. Presumably, Wakefield must have an agreement with Wigan allowing them to announce the signing of Chris Tuson, so I guess Salford don't have a similiar agreement with the clubs we're signing players from. You could see this as a positive thing, because it could suggest the clubs in question don't want their fans to know yet.

I wonder if that's because there is possibly transfer fees involved and some players we are signing are contracted beyond 2013? My guess is clubs fear a backlash from their supporters and don't want it to rock the boat until they can announce replacements.

By contrast if players are in the last year and haven't resigned supporters are kind of expecting them to go and it's not such a big deal to announce that they are leaving.
