Quote: Uncle Rico "I agree it falls short in so many ways and I'd be glad to limit my visits to those of last year, an away fixture, a semi and a corporate V Leeds. I do take exception to you comparing it to the HJ which although has been unfavourably called the 'flat pack' is a much superior stadium with 4 decent stands rather than the 1 plus 3 that you have
I also think you are being unfair on Peel and the Council, you could have always stayed in Weaste and redeveloped, or funded your own move to the 'Wembley of the North in any part of your great 'rapidly developing city' that your fan base deserves.
As for attracting new fans good luck, but, it can't all be about the stadium or the colour of its seats'"
I agree the three small sides spoil it for me and it does affect the atmosphere within the stadium. I went to Leigh last year for our moved fixture with Wakey and i prefered the feel of it. I would argue though that our bigger main stand and especially the corporate facilities are far better than the HJ. I know many will say the 2nd and 3rd building phase of the stadium will never happen, despite the foundations already being in place, but if they did this in the future it would then become much a better facility. Personally I think if they would have added another 6 rows of terracing to the other 3 sides it would have looked and felt totally different.
