Moronic remarks from solly,then comments about a few months ago no one gave a toss about Newton,did anyone know this was going to happen NO!
F.F.S a father,brother son and husband has been in such turmoil that the only way out was to end his life,only a cold hearted sub human would not feel sympathy for his family and would not wish peace in death for Terry Newton.Hopefully no-one would EVER have to go through this situation with any member of their family

As some one who has tried to take his life (twice) i can understand Terry Newtons desperation, I am really sorry for his family as this must be a shock to them. To me doesnt matter what errors he made he was someones son, brother, dad etc. a 31yr old man took his life, it is tragic. I just hope the RFL did not wash there hands of him when banning him but tried to provide support.

My deepest condolences to all Terry's family and friends. As a fan I can only say he was one of the players you didnt like when he was opposition but you wanted in your team.

Seriously we are here offering our condolences so yes RIP is right rugby is just a game. This tragedy is v.much real life. Honestly where do some of these posters come from.

Its just hard to believe as he was on sky a few weeks ago being interviewed by Brian Carney and it seemed that he was getting his life together. Solly, i am afraid you were bang out of order. Mods PLEASE HAVE A WORD.

RIP Terry Newton. Never really liked the guy until i read his book. Like it was stated in there, he was a player opposition fans hated but would of loved him in their team! Gutted for his family and close friends. It did seem like he was getting his life back on track with running his pub and stuff, but clearly he was a troubled man. Real shame.

Very very sad hopefully Terry can find peace now, obviously had a few problems behind close doors. Respected the guy a lot even when done for drugs held his hands up and admitted the crime unlike most athletes. Maybe the RFL or the drug testers could provide counciling for banned athletes???
