You maybe want to ask Oldham, Halifax, Widnes, and Keighley fans what they think of the $h!t or bust approach

Also if you want quick success putting faith in young ones ain't gonna do it, that's for the long term. Much better to spend money short term on established succesful players if you want quick results

But what is "sustained success" these days? There are only two things to win and we have an increasingly even competition which should mean that "successful" teasm win less games. I'd be delighted if we could sustain a level at which we won more games than we lost - but will that be enough for our local bandwagoners, or does it need a sniff of silverware to get them coming?

Sustained sucess in my eyes is going into every game thinking there is a chance of winning, it is ending the season in the top 8 and not fearing another trip to Bradford only to be ritually humilliated, it is teams turning up at the Willows dreading it rather than not looking forward to it but winning anyway.
All the above would generate greater interest, more column inch's and make us more saleable to the sponsers than we currently are.

But can you see any of the above teams ever haveing a sniff at getting into SL? we face the very real risk of it becomeing a closed shop with only manufactured teams of the RFL's choseing getting into the top flight.

Know I think to a degree that pushing the boat out now and getting the type of player capable to taking us on to the next level is a gamble worth taking, can you see us getting knocked back for a franchise if we are challenging the top four week in week out but not haveing the stadium? or can you can you see us getting the franchise with no stadium and the same level of minimal sucess we have at the moment??

I think the answer is pretty obvious.
