That's not knocking Wellens. He was a great pro, and what he lacked in pace he made up for in other areas of his game. A top pro. As was Sinfield. But this is fantasy and it's more in favour of players that you want to watch.

| My all time Great Britain team would be totally different because most of them played down under. It would include the greats of the late 80s and early 90s. Like Schofield, Hanley, Offiah, Edwards and Davies along with some modern players like Burgess and Tomkins. You'd probably throw a Morley in there.

Taking nothing away from Maguire. A great player who's record speaks for itself. But Harris before he went to rugby union in the back end of the nineties was probably the best British rugby league player at that time. Captained Leeds to a grand final and a challenge cup victory and I don't think he was much older than 21.
I couldn't leave Harris out. If I didn't choose him at 6 then he'd have been at 1.

| A good thread this and whilst I quite like the suggested line up and alternatives thus far the term "All Time" can't surely apply to some of those listed.
Subjective I know and the OP's team is decent and age does factor as the game has changed, so not a criticism but without delving really far back (even for me) and picking Risman or Sullivan at FB based on the record books (Wellens pfftt)....then here's a few that must feature or at least be under consideration for my twopenneth.
Clive Sullivan Billy Boston John Bevan
Alex Murphy Roger Millward Vince Karalius

| I'm pretty sure Roger Millward had a season in Australia during his time with Hull KR.
Some absolute greats of the game there though.
Had the pleasure of meeting Vince Karalius at Aintree in the early 80's. He was a guest of the company I was working for at the time and we were both in the hospitality at the races.

Well spotted Wanderer as you know I'm not a KR fan but really liked Millward's style of play. Just had a quick google and he did turn out for Cronulla in 1976.
Talking of that early 70's era and much as it pains me to say it, Salford's team under Snape's stewardship and of course Widnes had some decent players to consider.....

Clive Sullivan Billy Boston John Bevan
Alex Murphy Roger Millward Vince Karalius'" Yeah, I just chose from players since I've been watching Rugby League, which began at the back end of the 80s.
Most of the great players of the late 80s and early 90s all played down under at some point, that's why most of my team is made up from the Super league era.
I probably did make an error in my team by putting Roby in instead of Cunningham, because I probably think Cunningham was slightly the better player. But Roby is also very worthy of a place.
If I was to choose my all tim Great Britain team, it would probably look something like this.
Sam Tomkins
Jason Robinson
Kallum Watkins
Keith Senior
Martin Offiah
Garry Schofield
Andy Gregory
James Graham
Keiron Cunningham
Andy Platt
Andy Farrell
Sam Burgess
Ellery Hanley
With a bench of
Stuart Fielden
Denis Betts
James Roby
Gary Connally
I think that team has good balance, speed, skill, mental strength, power, determination, creativity and leadership. With some intensity coming from the bench.
I'd be happy to take on the Aussies with that team.

No, he signed a two year contract with them in 2013 but back-tracked and stayed in England.

| I’d throw Tony Myler in at 6….if it wasn’t for injuries,he was a superb stand-off and would have played more…Also Mick Crane and Knocker Norton.
