| 56yrs of age and after 36 holes of golf yesterday I feel each and every one of them.
Point being....how old are you?
The issue Rugby League faces in my opinion is it's aging fanbase..
How do we get the kids back.....?

| Clubs should give every registered junior at an amateur club a free season ticket. They won’t get used every week but when they do, an adult has to go with them and pay.
It’s how people get hooked young. I was six when I went to Wakey. I am 70 now and still suffering for my art!!
Old Trafford should have had another 3-5000 with free tickets given to kids.

Not at my club (Hull Kr) There are plenty of young guns coming through the turnstiles each week, more so than for a long time I would say. Even walking down the street any day of the week I see plenty of young uns wearing jumpers and jackets with the HKR logo on the chest. On game day you only have to look in the east or North stands to see huge numbers of young men and women wearing the red and white of Hull KR, including lots of parents with their kids. I would say it's looking pretty good here with regards to the youth keeping the HKR fans tradition going.

I was just about to post something similar, I am 70 now & have not been for two seasons now, the main reason for me is self isolation being in a vulnerable group, plus travelling into town on Friday nights as transport home is terrible for me. I will be back though & it is always nice to be in the East stand & watch the young kids able to stand by the front fence or run about & play when they get bored. Getting family group’s attending is the way forward & the way the east stand is is conducive to that. It would not be the same if all seated as some grounds are (though it won’t be long until I need a seat now)I have yet to experience it but the Craven street idea looks very interesting. I just hope we can keep it going forward?

I'm 61. Mothers maiden name is Henshaw. First Pet was called "Ranger" and the 3 digits on the back of my card are 557. In all seriousness people can say broadly what demographic they're in to help the conversation along which is asking about whether we have an ageing following.

| If you think rugby league has an aging fan base, try going to a Premier League football game. Ticket prices at the majority of clubs, and ticket availability at the biggest clubs, means the average age of the crowd is far higher than it appears to me at Super League games.
No one worries that kids aren't interested in the Premier League though.

Well said, I've been going to games for many (x3) years, and was first taken by my dad at 10 years old.
I don't see any difference in the demographic, I actually see clubs working hard to get the kids in through the SL foundations, and their support of junior RL.
Just part of the constant silly noise about the game dying from those who thought Toronto would keep it alive and kicking.......
They had a really quick death

Only you would even attempt to use such a thread as an opportunity to post a vacuous comment about an overseas club.
It doesn't look like your imaginary efforts by SL Foundations, and their support of junior RL are working...

As long as you're happy, though. The people really aware, and concerned, can sleep easy,as they scrat about for every penny.

Make it interesting. The same stuff we did 25 years ago doesn't interest kids now.
Ultimately we need England/GB to win something IMO. I think it's achievable too if we got the buy in of all the clubs.
Not next year but say two world cups after that set the target and go for it.
