I know with Saints or Leeds reaching the final, they will take a lot of fans. But with a team that is based in Southern France reaching the final, this isn't good news for OUR game.
They brought less than a thousand fans to their last challenge cup final in 2018. I imagine 'Bachelors Mushy Peas' & 'Betfred' will be giving shed loads of tickets away for this game.

The good news is that, with Catalan reaching the CC final quite recently, the sports administrators have had plenty of time to work out a contingency plan should they make it to another major final, I wonder what they came up with ?

After last nights excellent game and crowd I suspect play the final in Paris?? Yes? No?

How many English clubs would do the same?

The sport should be able to sell out a grand final regardless who the two teams are as its supposed to be the most important game of the competition.

There should be enough hard core/casual fans who want to attend such a spectacle without relying on a side based in South of France to fill thousands of seats with fans.

As a neutral, I feel more inclined to go to a grand final with Catalan in than yet another Leeds v saints / Wigan / Warrington final. I hope many rugby league fans feel similar.

This is great in principle.
However, the tickets, usually set aside for the fans of the 2 finalists, have to sell within a week and getting from Perpignan to Manchester isnt the easiest or most regular flight routes and that is in normal (per covid) times.

Grand final crowds over the years have been between 64,000 and 72,000.....ANYWAY Wwhatever the crowd is the clubs have the right to be there..............If it's not in that crowd range who can say wether it's Catalans fault, because a lot of top class events are down on attendees because the fear of Covid. Covid is still rampant.

I understand (from attending an event tuesday) some indoor events that have sold out some time ago (like theatres) have only had 80% of the ticket buyers turning up. It may be some Saints fans will give this a miss, many neutrals will give it a miss for the first time due to covid and some people will then claim the lower crowd as being Catalans fault.............

Yep, crowd will probably be well down due to Covid..........
