I actually think the refs have been decent since the return, particularly given the rule changes and increased speed of the game.

He has always been a whining cry baby, just more noticeable now Cas are pretty average again. Reckon he will be off soon to a bigger club, with bigger recourses, Hull maybe.

Pretty poor form last night, even considering his previous.

It's a shame that Cas are the only side to ever get injuries though. I feel for him there. Here is every other club playing their first choice 1-17 every week AND getting the refs on their side while poor Cas have mountains of injuries and have to play 14 men.

Glad its not me that thinks he is just whinging. Funny how he never highlights any of the calls that goes cas way! Suck it up, stop whining and get on with it.

He's failed to rebuild after their 2017 success, and they've been sleep walking to mediocrity ever since.. The youth development system also seems to have gone down the pan since he went there.

Everyone is against him though.

Powell had to take out that Grand Final in 2017 and didn’t and now he’s just treading water. He had Cas playing rugby that season that was as good as I’ve seen in Superleague history but if you don’t win it then, you’re not going to get that momentum or belief going again that you could win it unless you get an amazing group of players together and whilst Cas have a good squad, it’s not much above average.

He looks stale, Cas look a bit stale and both could benefit from a change. He gives off an air of a man that is just frustrated with everything and his constant moaning is grating on everyone.

I worked with a bloke who was just the same. He ended up being known as ‘Moaning Steve’ and everyone used to swerve him.
