| Seen some suggestions on social media that it should be split between Rob Burrow and Mose Masoe. Thoughts? Both are showing some real spirit and character through extremely challenging times.

| Full respect to both of them and what they're going through, but don't turn MoS into a gimmick.

| I saw the clip of Mose walking with a stick and felt immediately uplifted, only to be immediately saddened by the interview with Rob on BBC's breakfast programme.
Definitely Men of Steel in the Steve Prescott mould.

King of agree, but wouldn’t be upset if they did give it either of them

Yes there should be some lasting tribute to these two inspirational men.
In a season that's been disrupted so and no standout player has had the chance to shine. So whilst i agree with DM the MOS should not be a gimmick This season of all seasons i wouldnt at all mind a bit of sentiment and a real show of RL family.

What about other players that are lesser known, should they have gotten "lasting tributes" (whatever that means) from the RFL/sport?
Whilst recognising the difficulties players have when things don't turn out how they'd want, I think there's a huge inherent bias in how some are virtually left to their own devices, virtually forgotten about except for local club and family/friends, and others are given disproportionately far more, not just in terms of public support and coverage on forums/media, but also financially
When other players had life changing injuries or retired and subsequently found to be suffering from an illness/disability where they put up for MoS due to their personal fight, no, I've absolutely nothing against RB or MM and wish them the very best, but the suggestion that they be put up for MoS is absolutely ludicrous and frankly inappropriate, I'm sure both players would not want this either.
The sport as a whole have shown huge amounts of sentiment and support for both, there's absolutely no need to do this.

I had both names in my head before I even opened this thread.
Fully agree.

People have money on Man of Steel. Wouldn’t be appropriate.
I have £20 on Bevan at 25-1

| Would be nice to see Mose and/or Rob recognised with the Helen Rollason Award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in December.
It would also mean that their stories reach a wider audience as well as promoting fund raising.
