| Will the replacement be William Arthur, Rod Studd, Brian Carney, or Angela Powers?

| Does that coincide with Neville Smith leaving too?

I hadn't heard that. The whole thing seems strange. Why retire mid-season? Why not wait till the Grand Final?

| Suggests he’s been forced out, I don’t mind him but he’s gone senile the past couple of years and it’s about time he went. However, his replacement needs to be someone not already there as Bill Arthur knows very little about the game and he seems the only realistic replacement within Sky.

I think that he's done an excellent job.
Like Stevo before him, he's suffered from having to cover too many games and consequently, everyone is a little bored of the same old, same old.
Sky have tried some different things to try and prevent their coverage getting stale but, you just cant get away for RL being a low budget production and 3/4 times a week, with the same few commentators and pundits will always leave the regulars bored and the commentary a little predictable.
It's easy to knock the sky team but, generally, they have been better than the rest, with the exception of Andrew Voss in the world cup a while ago. Although, even he would be a pain in the backside if you had to listen to him every game.

Surely this question demands a poll. And shouldn't that be Rodney Studd?

| He’s been a great commentator over the years and still can be at times now but he allows himself to get caught up in the minutiae instead of just commentating on what’s happening.
It’s probably about time however I’d get rid of Cummings, Barrie, Terry & Angela first. They add nothing of use or interest.
I also agree it seems a strange time, why not see the season out?

You can add Clarke to that list for me.

| Rodney Studd is no good. I prefer William Arthur by far, especially because of his experience calling the Catalans games.

Agreed. Eddie should really have retired when Stevo did. Both should really have retired mid 2000's.they were fantastic in the 90s no doubt though and good for SKY. Good luck to him.

| It wont happen but I'd love Sky to throw some money at Andrew Voss to get him over here permanently. Such a great commentator, he made the uk based world cup so much more entertaining with his great commentating.
