| With 5 weeks to the season starts and some good fixtures to kick off is it not out the question to expect sone sell outs at some games. The derbies always sell well and do the opening games in general so I would think it would be a no brainer to expect the Hull derby and saints Wigan derby to sell out. Hopefully Warrington v Leeds and London's return at a smaller venue can push near capacity. I know this is Rugby League so we will be underwhelmed but we have a great chance to kick the season off with 4 sell outs if every RL fan got behind the opening weekend.
Have we ever had more then one sell out in a weekly round ? Forgive me if i am wrong but i dont think we achieved more then one the whole of last season.

| I would guess that we have achieved two sell outs in one round on Good Friday before. I believe that St Helens and Wigan have sold out every Good Friday match since 2010, meanwhile the Hull derby, Leeds vs Bradford, Warrington vs Widnes and Castleford vs Leeds have all sold out over Easter at various points from memory. Aside from Easter, we probably haven't achieved that.
I'd be disappointed if Hull KR and London didn't sell out in Round 1 this year, and I think they will. Saints vs Wigan and Warrington vs Leeds will probably fall just short, but will still attract respectable crowds.

True, but this is as much the responsibility of the clubs as it is the RFL.

More so the responsibility of the clubs. They take the vast majority of the TV money and income in the game.

| To be fair, as Super League itself has taken more control, then the responsibility now falls on them rather than the RFL.

| Match day marketing can be done through social media quite successfully, something that seems to escaped some clubs.

| Castleford Tigers vs Catalans Dragons should sell out also, given the heightened prestige of the Catalans team after winning the challenge Cup.

| There will be 7-7500 for the Cas v Catalan game. Zero away fans and no one outside Catalans really gives a toss they won the C cup last year so it certainly won't add any extra on the gate for what will be a routine home victory all without star half back Lucas Gale and Knights supremo Oliver Holmes who are already injured for the start of the campaign.

It's not and never has been the RFL's job to sell tickets at club events. It's even less so now that the Super League clubs decided to take control of marketing SL for themselves.
In fact, given that 11 of the 12 clubs insisted that they could do a much better job and that this new league structure would make their marketing so much easier, there really is no excuse for those clubs not putting up the 'ground full' signs every week.

Happy New Year Jean, hilarious as ever.
With their usual 30/40 supporters, where will the other 3000 or so come from to fill the void that would usually be filled by away fans.
Cas will have decent support, as usual, but, I dont think that Catalan playing in England has EVER helped a game sell out

Apart from maybe Leeds who brings 3000, nobody, Huddersfield bring about two buses to headingley and probably less to to other clubs, it's not away fans job to fill your ground, away fans should be a bonus, don't see more than about 1000-1500 wakes fans when they play Leeds.

The 30/40 fans is a myth unless you're counting players and staff.
It's the game I look forward to the least as a supporter. No disrespect intended to the challenge cup winners of 2018.
