Social Media is key for RL (well any business/organisation to be fair) but I'm always really disappointed when I come across a clubs page on Facebook/Twitter and it's either out dated or they haven't posted in weeks. They should be posting daily with club news, player interaction and match day information for all sides that they represent (first team, reserves, U16's etc)

is it wrong of me to have expected bradfords to be slightly higher considering their pomp around 10 years ago? probably.

Warrington try and use social media a lot better, they did a mock whatsapp chat vid that included the world cup in the summer to announce blake austin which was quite good, and they now seem to be repurposing any of the popular memes with a Warrington/RL slant now in the off season, which i'm finding kind of irritating now. But at least they're posting in the off season, interviews with new signings and continually pushing our new kits and leisure ranges.

Well you've sort of answered that yourself. We won the league 13 years ago now which in social media terms is a life time.

I'm not a fan of Tw@ter generally but Salford have improved massively over the past 12 months. A certain couple of Aussies (bad for the game/taking a spot off young British half-backs/only here for the money etc etc) have a lot to do with this but also hats off to the backroom staff working on a shoestring budget. https://twitter.com/SalfordDevils/statu ... 87520?s=19

Don't really take much interest in twitter so the numbers don't mean a great deal to me. However, someone on the Leeds board (I think) posted that Trent Merrin alone commands a figure of 180k so one would assume Leeds should gain significantly next year. Not that that matters if he's cr@p, mind...

More than a lifetime. Youtube did not yet exist as a public service when Bradford won their last title. Twitter was not widespread in public consciousness until 2011 when the begging bowl was first starting to get passed around the Odsal terraces. (Twitter itself is a little older than that, but user numbers started to double every couple of months in the wake of the Arab Spring).

how seriously do the clubs and rfl for that matter take social media? do any have a full time appointment just to run this side of the business, as well as running the website of the club/body?

Thats an interesting and thought provoking view and one which id not considered my self.

Would you therefor deem Salford Wakefield and Widnes as bigger clubs than Bradford?

He has 9k Twitter followers.

That figure must have been his monthly salary!
