ticket sales looking pretty good also with only east stand upper not open for business yet, and the rest looking pretty full

I just hope we play Johnstone. I don't think I could put up with reading and hearing Wakey fans constantly cry ing over his exclusion for the rest of the close season.

Yes of course we could.
Much as he's a fine athelete and an excellent RL player, he wont be filling in at Prop, Hooker, Loose Forward or Scrum Half and with Makinson in such fine form, he'll be watching from the stands.

I believe this comment is aimed at me so I have every right to defend myself... Only sage here is you, stop making a fool of yourself, coming from a guy that now thinks that because Wakefield have signed Danny Brough that we will finish bottom? I expect London will finish bottom of the pile by quite some distance and you can run off back the championship with your tail between your legs after a season at at the big boy table. Maybe then you will go back to your boring self, getting your spreadsheet out and constantly talk statistics?

They’ve now opened tickets for the Upper East Stand as all other areas sold out. Think the Upper East Stand holds around 6-7000 of the near 38,000 capacity so if that’s all that’s left it looks like it’ll be over 30k for Sunday. |

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
