Scotland were 12-0 ahead after 10 minutes, but then Wales ran in 50 unanswered points. The game was free to watch on the BBC sports website, but I only found this out by accident.
Why wasn't this announced/advertised with more vigour. POOR EFFORT

The BBC promoted that they were showing it through the BBC Sport website and connected TV during last week's England v NZ game, the same applies to the Ireland v France game tomorrow afternoon (2 PM). It has also been listed on the BBC Sport RL web page all week.
They don't promote our code as much as some other sports but I have been much more aware of their coverage of the European Championship than I have of the RFL website coverage of the England Knights games in PNG. I only found out after the event that the first game in PNG was covered.

PNG V England Knights wasn't shown live, so I doubt the 2nd test will be (as kick off is 5:30am in the UK) No info whether it will be shown (at all) on the RFL website.

They ended up showing highlights of the first game v PNG. A couple of lines at the end of one article suggests they will put highlights of game 2 on the RFL site. (I went hunting for that info myself having found out belatedly that any coverage of game 1 had occurred at all). My point was that though the BBC could be better at promoting our games that our own governing body hasn't done a great job on that front either. I am an Our League member and so would reasonably expect to get emails about upcoming coverage whether live or highlights, I got one about the England Women's game v France and the France v Wales games last week on the day they happened, (I already knew by that point that the BBC were streaming the latter) advertising coverage on game day alone is very poor. I got nothing regarding the highlights of the PNG v Knights game. Surely the RFL if they wish for people to use Our League should be making those signed up to it (as a bare minimum) aware of available coverage.

Eh? The RFL get blamed for everything on here. Some of it rightly but the vast majority of ills in the game can be sorted by the clubs themselves, the problem is the vast majority choose to focus on short term gain and don’t invest at all. |

That's the point as soon as the finger is pointed at the RFL it is instantly turned back on the clubs on this site.
look at the shambles with the game v NZ this weekend: changed time and then date so had many tickets returned and have to sell them cheap. Even some of the media announcements have the wrong information.
Is that the clubs fault ? |

No. It’s not. That’s why I said some of the problems are the RFL’s. But MOST can be solved by the clubs. Clubs reducing crowds, higher losses, lack of investment, lack of infrastructure, lack of growth are almost entirely down to the clubs themselves and can be solved by the clubs themselves. But instead they are content to throw every penny they have at players wages and fighting over a few extra K for themselves a year from the TV deal so they don’t actually have to grow their clubs.

HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
