Who gets it and what’s the criteria?

As good as he is he is not irreplaceable .

There seems to be no criteria or logic to who is selected and personally I don’t agree with it. From memory (could have some wrong here) I believe it’s Kallum Watkins, Jonny Lomax, James Roby, Jon Bateman.

Pretty certain Lomax from St Helens is also.

As for McGillivary, perhaps age counts against him, he’ll be 31 soon into the 2019 season. Ryan Hall will be a rarity that he is wanted by the NRL/RU post 30 and the RFL might pick those players who have more years left in them and not past the NRL/RU interest point.

Maybe that’s played a part in Hall’s departure now that this particular stage of his career.

Well, seeing as Bateman’s off to the NRL it clearly isn’t working.
