Quote: Moving Forward "Hello all
Looking at going to London on the train but can't to find any tube stops nearby? The London website advises you to get a bus but wondering if anybody can advise me on the nearest tube stop and how far away it is?
Thanks'"
You going to Euston station from warrington/Manchester right?
Once in Euston get Northern line (Southbound) for two stops and change at Tottenham Court Road, take the Central line and ensure you get the WESTBOUND train but it has to be the one that goes to Ruislip(West) as the central line branches off. Your stop is PERIVALE.
This is a 1.4 mile walk through Pitshanger park along the footway to Trailfinders Sports ground.
come out the tube station onto horsenden Lane South, past the field/cricket club on your right, cross over the A40 on the footbridge. As you come off the footbridge in front of you is old church Lane, walk down past the hedges and block of flats on your right and come to a T junction.
Turn left for approx 30 metres and there's a footpath entrance (small monument with a roof/rusted gate next to it). follow the path and bear right as it forks to go over the little footbridge over the river.
Follow the path to the edge of the massive allottments and at that corner take a right to walk alongside the allotment and also past some playing fields which will be on your left (trees/river behind them on your right), keep going till you hit the main road (Argyle Rd)
Turn left and follow Argyle road until you get to the roundabout and turn right into Vallis way, this leads you directly to the club.
If you miss the turn at the corner of the allottments it doesn't matter as at the footpath comes out at the same bit of road just turn right at the top end of the allotments instead of when you first get to them.
Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to walk it or you could get a taxi from perivale, however as you're in that there london it's a facking 'Aryton'* to you guv.
Hope that helps.
*Aryton, as in Aryton Senna =Tenner.
