| Why have the RFL let Huddersfield postpone this game? Ridiculous. So, now 10 teams have to back up in a '2nd Easter', and 2 teams don't. Farcical. Football has nothing to do with our game, the football match isn't due to be played at Huddersfield and so the game should be played. All other clubs should be putting a complaint into the RFL for the decision to be reversed. It makes no difference that they can both play on challenge cup weekend, in effect they are being rewarded for failing to reach the next round of the cup.

| I assume that it's because Huddersfield Town are playing that day now and to be fair to them its a rather more significant fixture than the RFL scheduling farce that sees 2 battered and tired sides facing each other
Would putting it back a day satisfy you so they can still get the pain from incomplete recovery?
In truth this whole weekend coming up is an unnecessary farce. Its stupid enough playing 2 games over Easter - repeating the madness is inexcusable.

I agree 100% that this weekend is a farce and shouldn't be happening anyway, but it should either be all or none. Changing a game because some fans might want to go to watch the Football is ridiculous in my opinion

| I don't think there will be many complaints from either team really, playing 2 games in a weekend is farcical once let alone twice in a season. With both teams being out of cup it is a lot easier to reschedule.
What's the reason for this weekends double fixtures? Finishing a week early for World Cup?

| It'll have no effect on their own game, as whether they face each other tired or refreshed won't affect their game, but it will certainly give Huddersfield an advantage when they play Warrington the following weekend, a top-eight four-pointer, with a 9-day gap between games.

| Inconsistent approach again. If this is the case why couldn't the other ten teams play their matches on the weekend of the world club challenge, leaving just Wigan and Warrington to squeeze their fixture in somewhere, so there would be no need for this double header?

Good point that one, but the answer will be that if they did that then it would have denied neutrals the chance to watch the WCC games

Postponing their fixture also allows them to go "harder" at the single game, rather than having to manage their respective squads.
I fully accept that playing on the same day as Town, in what is a HUGE game would seriously affect their attendance and it's right not to play on the same day.
However, for a club under severe pressure, this will give them a small, possibly important, leg up.

Nothing to do with letting fans go to football.
Many of the stadium staff especially stewards are having to go to London as they are stewarding on the coaches etc ( the same stewards doing the football team and the rugby team)
The Giants cannot replace all the staff unilaterally who willl be going to London.
Ergo no stewards no game.

Why not change the fixtures Thurs / Sunday or move the Monday game to Tuesday evening? By allowing this, the RFL have rewarded mediocrity whilst giving both Huddersfield and Saints distinct advantages in their next games. There should never have been a second "Easter" anyway, this just makes it worse and look even more of a shambles!

Why on earth did they not let all teams make their own mind up when to play the game IE if you both get knocked out early play when it suits you has long has its played before the season ends( or here is a IDEA let both teams play their weakest teams IE under 21 or colts but not your first team but still get points that would be novel )

| I remember a couple of years ago Hull V Hull kR was on the same day and time as the FA cup final which Hull City played in. Think the teams requested a time change (not a cancellation) and that was denied.

To be fair though, that was Magic Weekend at the Etihad (remember being there); the RFL were never going to mess around with that with it being one of there main money spinners, on the other hand, a single random fixture doesn't mean quite as much.

| They could have altered the timing of the game there are 2 days in the MW. In the end they settled for both being on at the same time never mind day. Then again they had a tradition of treating fans from the city of Hull poorly with regard to fixture times to maintain.

| Possibly, although they couldn't have moved it to the other day as many fans would have bought a day ticket and made travel plans around that, and for that time. For once I think they did the right thing sticking by it.
