With York Knights folding in position 3, how will the Super 8's work now ?

- will York related points stand or go
- will 4th placed Doncaster go to 3rd and play Toulouse away
- will the top 2 advantage of 4 home games, 3 away be retained
- will Newcastle move into position 8
- when will the RFL advise

etc etc

Best thing is for the RFL to fund them till the end of the year pos with a ground share at doncaster if its cheaper, allowing them to complete all their games and it wont screw up the 8's, otherwise you end up at the stage where you might need to refund teams points or deduct them which isnt fair either way.

Might make the games more interesting as the players will be fighting for another club.

Meaningless competition, and the Cougars wouldn't have got promotion no matter what system was in in place.

I'd have thought the best option would be to just bump everyone up a place. So 4th are now 3rd, 5th are now 4th etc.

York should be saved at least until season end & the RFL should foot the bill, just as they have several times with several iterations of the London franchise.

Didnt the RFL back Bradford "until the end of the season" when they had their problems so that all the fixtures could be completed ?

No, they didn't. They did allow Bradford an advance on monies already owed to them as part of the TV deal but there was no additional RFL funding beyond what Bradford were entitled

So. Much. Outrage.

The RFL bailed out London loads of times with money which could have helped york. It's expansion clubs like Catalan, Toulouse and Toronto's fault York have gone bankrupt. Let's take our sport back and get me to replace Nigel Wood, I need a new job.
