To be fair to Clarke I think he was countering O'Connor's point that it was "great play" from Ellis to trap O'Loughlin and gain a penalty.
On that principle I agree with Clarke, it's no different to footballers diving who we all happily take the mick out of.
However in this case, as usual, O'Connor and Stevo got it wrong. Ellis didn't trap O'Loughlin in, O'Loughlin deliberately went back over the top of Ellis to try and slow the play the ball and rightly got penalised for it as Stuart Cummings said.
