| Fox Sports Australia are linking the NSW hooker with Super League now he is being forced out by Wests Tigers. Could he be off to Leeds?
Would his signing justify the marquee player rule?

| He's exactly the kind of player that this rule was brought in for and I'd love him in Super League. Just not with Leeds please! He's still a key player for NSW though in Origin and second only to Cameron Smith for Aus so would he even come anyway?

| Souths Sydney is his most likely destination. He has a few more years of Origin left in him but he's pretty busted.

| Souths have ruled themselves out of signing Farah. He would legitimise the marquee player rule to a certain extent as he's undoubtedly a brilliant player. Will he willingly kiss goodbye to rep football though and can anyone match pay A$1mill?

Pretty busted eh.
First rate SL signing then especially if on big bucks.
Would again show the sporting world how forward thinking the game isn't.
The futures ............?
Time for the RL community to take a good look in the mirror and see exactly the state of the game in Europe.
I doubt if it's a pretty sight.

| He'd be a great signing for any Super League team, though Leeds would be the obvious choice. However, I'd imagine he can still earn just as much in the NRL, and not deal with the hassle of moving across the world, and still have the option of playing for NSW. He's already said his preference is to stay in the NRL.

Take all the non-European players out of European RL and you significantly weaken it.
We could ban all non-European players and we'd decrease the quality of our own players because they'd be playing in an inferior competition.
The trick is to use just enough foreign players to boost the quality of the comp without significantly restricting the development of quality young players.
A player like Farah should be welcomed. It's the lesser, average names that are the issue. But even then, the major factors in inadequate player development in the sport isn't at first team level, it's well before that.

Whoever he signs for will not be paying $1m - Wests will be paying some of his salary.

Is that the lesser average names like cuthbertson etc?
Seems to me that some of the "names" like Willie Mason haven't really delivered whilst some of the "average names" have.
We've never really had a big big name, oh apart from when Warrington tried to win the GF.

No it's the lesser average names taking up squad positions that could be filled by English players to at or very near the same quality. The Ben Cross/Weller Hauraki etc etc type players. The ones who never come close to being the best but still keep getting regular gametime and keep getting contracts at SL clubs.
But as I said, that is actually a relatively minor issue compared to the real development problems prior to first team SL squads.

wests have to cover his wages of 1 million a year for the next two years, if he came to sl for 200 thousand, he would still get his million as wests would have to make up rest of his wages to cover his current contract....

| I'd love to see him in SL. Have Catalans revealed their Marquee player yet?
Can't see it realistically.

Can't see Catalans signing him as well as Aiton.
I think most clubs would be interested but who could actually afford him? And would he want to leave the NRL whilst still in contention for SOO?
