He will do well imo. More than capable of holding his own.Certainly don't expect him to have a Burgess/Morley like impact but very few could, saying that the likes of Cooper and Hodgson have shown that a steady/good SL player can bring something to the NRL and more clubs down there ar begining to realise this

Hodgson has been one of Canberra's best from what i have seen this year.

He do very well at Raiders. Good signing.

This will mean a third NRL club with two Englishmen on the books. In this regard Canberra will join South Sydney and St. George - Illawarra. I suppose that the "two Pom" situation can ease the blight of "homesickness" somewhat for each hardy adventurer who has abandoned a cosy life on the M62..

Don't forget the Welsh international Tyson Frizzell at St George as well. May well have been born in Aus but has paid his own way in the past to play for Wales and has again declared his allegiance with Wales. For me he is of the most exciting young forwards in the NRL, and its great that he has resisted the "declare for Australia to play Origin" blackmail that too many now succumb to. Not to mention he's the only player in the NRL to wear black boots!

He won't be a superstar over there but I think he can more than hold his own. I think Hodgson and Cooper have proved that you don't have to be a world beater to succeed in the NRL. It is a superior league but good super league players can be good players over there too.
