So NRL refs are refusing to wear pink kit any more, as they think it undermines their authority.
Who knew they were that insecure?
Will we follow suit?

I don't even see why this is news worthy, it really doesn't matter in the end, in our sport players actually respect the referee and don't talk back like football for example, the colour of the shirt isn't going to change this.

Rather sad bunch if they think the colour of their shirts undermines them. Rather the poor quality of person wearing the shirt is the cause of being undermined.
I good referee, with good leadership and communication skills, who didn't pander to players or show fear of them would be the sort of person that could probably ref in the buff without issue. Some of the lads down under seem very timid when confronted by the players. When confronted they should adopt a managerial approach to control errant players, but some of them can't even do that.
