| With the final still to come, this is already the best attended 4 Nations ever.
If you count the Brisbane attendance twice you get 167,442 for 6 games at an average of 27,907.
Even if you subscribe to the "count them once" club, you come in at 119,629 and 19,938 with the final still to come!
The RFL need to ensure that they get the pricing and marketing right for next years tour and the following years 4 Nations, with maybe another Double Header at Wembley (Scotland v NZ on First........)

Counting the Brisbane attendance twice!
You’ll be giving Big Nige’ ideas regarding the Tragic Weekend.
William will be hyperventilating.

| Good news. Especially as one of the games was in RL virgin territory. Is international RL finally on the upward curve? Anyone know what ticket sales are like for the final.

Well, the controller of the 4 Nations Wiki page seems to think it's the way forward!
Without wanting to open up old wounds, there was a rather long debate about this during RLWC 2013 with those of us who doubted there were 45,000 in attendance for Wales v Italy or 67,000 for Australia v Fiji being shouted down by some posters.
Still, even if you only count the Brisbane fans once, this 4 Nations will deliver the highest average attendance ever so long as we get 20K+ in the cake tin this weekend.

In that case, well done to all concerned, & at least the fans have been treated to some exciting matches.
Apart from two of the Aussie games that is.

| Actually it's not the best attended 4 Nations just yet. Both the 2011 & 2010 ended with a higher total crowd of 170,410 & 181,830 respectively.
Though obviously the final will take them beyond that.
To be honest I think the crowds for Australia & NZ v England are quite poor.
There have only been 2 lower England/GB v Australia attendances in the last 25 years and the last time an England/GB v Australia crowd was that low in Britain was in 1986.
It's been good crowds for the Samoa games that has pushed it higher than previous comps.

How typical of the guttersnipe to get his evidence and his analysis wrong.

Oh dear.
2011 - 128,056 (170,390 if you count the same people with the same ticket twice) still delivers a lesser average than this year...(18,294)
2010 - 137,506 (181,830 if you count the same people with the same ticket twice) still delivers a lesser average than this year....(19,643)
2014 - 119,629 (167,442 if you count the same people with the same ticket twice) delivers a worst case scenario of ....19,938.
Clinging to the 2 games counts as 2 attendees argument smacks of insecurity......or do you genuinely believe that 47,813 people left the stadium to be replaced with 47,813 different people
This is the best attended 4 Nations to date......regardless of the negative agendas of some on here.

| Samoa having a very good following in NZ and Australia is very promising for the next WC.
Samoa V Tonga games in Western Sydney get better crowds every time they are held, and the Samoa V Fiji game earlier in the year got a good crowd too.
Every time one of these games are held, people have a great time and want to go again, and take their friends with them.

So...you agree with me it's not the best attended 4 Nations yet?
Did little gutters cock his figures up? Serves you right for believing the summary on Wikipedia doesn't it?

Fair play to Gutters here. This is a positive thread. With regards 2010 and 2011 and 2014 whether you count all the double-headers once or twice this year will still be the highest with the final to come.
A Wembley double header for 2016 is a must. How are things going in Wellington for the final mate? Is it going to get close to a sell out?

Pretty low-key here so far. Not a chance of it selling out.......let's hope they ramp up the promotion later in the week.

This is strangely familiar and very disappointing. This is the first real showcase event that the NZRL have had in many years. Massive push, sold out (30k+), Kiwis win could have set the NZRL for the next 5 years in terms of putting on big tests/events. This was a potential open goal for NZRL with the All Blacks overseas.
Looks like they will be happy with 20-25k a few quick bucks (and none spent on promotion) and back to the comfortable life of second class citizens.

| What the Southern hemisphere are not pushing the final.
If that was the RFL we would have threads as long as you can imagine about how we are not doing everything to promote the game.
Just goes to show, it's a RL problem not a Northern Hemisphere problem.
